Scan Design — Local services in North Miami Beach

Greg was a great salesperson, very patient and helpful in helping us find new furniture to spruce up our living space. Unfortunately we received a defective dining table (Nido Table) and the 2nd replacement dining table was also defective! The defect on the table posed a safety threat to my family as the glass top would lift if you pressed even slightly on one side. The worst part is that we waited for this model to come back in stock for over a year. We were given the choice to get a refund or buy another model. We were in a tough spot as we had already purchased dining chairs to match the former dining table. The only other glass top table they have has perfect dimensions and matched the chairs nicely but came at a cost of $1600 more! When we kindly asked for a small discount for the trouble we had gone through, the regional manager, Krista P. (The one who approves any discount) denied us the courtesy. Needless to say, we will NOT be buying anything from this scan location again. We thought her decision to not offer this courtesy was not only rude but careless. Especially since we had spent money on a sofa, chairs and other home decor there totaling...

we bought 2 items from the store: a dining table and a couch. The table is fine so far and was a great fit for our space and needs. However, the couch, which cost an exorbitant amount of money, is of average quality. After living with it for 1 year of spare use (we're winter birds), seats and backs started losing their shape integrity. It has a lot mor wrinkles and even divots in the areas of more frequent use. While leather seems to be holding up well, it seems that the padding underneath it is too thin, too soft, or otherwise of poor quality to spring back.

Couch delivery was also not without problems. The power supplies were missing at the original delivery. It took many calls to our excellent sales rep Margarita and the clueless warehouse person to receive the power supplies 3 months later.

Considering how much the couch cost and touted as a high-end item made in Italy, its quality is comparable to a couch sold at El Dorado 2.5...

I came to ScanDesign and was greeted by Heidy. I was all over the place and was not really sure as to what style to go with; after some specific questions, Heidy was able to help me narrow down my style and preferences. I ended up going for a formal sofa and a very comfortable sectional for the family room. She suggested some rugs to compliment the look and helped me accessorize according to existing and new furniture. She kept me posted about ETAS, called me as soon as the piece arrived and set up our delivery. She checked in right after delivery to make sure everything went well.
