Today 09/29/24 I had a lunch with a friend of mine at this place. The hostess was nice and friendly, she sat us down. The waitress took an order quickly. I ordered the same ceviche as my friend did. But for mine I asked to exclude an octopus from it.The food came out in about 10 min but my portion was much smaller compared to my friends dish. I assume when you ask to exclude one specific ingredient from your order, chef has to add more of other ingredients which dish contains so I can have the same amount the food I supposed to. Because they charge for a full portion size, right ? In my case I wasn’t fool at all. Once we were done with eating, the waitress took the plates out.We were staying at the restaurant for about 40 more minutes talking and nobody ever refilled water for as,nobody asked if we want a dessert or check.Later on we asked another employee to bring us a check. The waitress came in,I told her about my food situation. Can’t lie it was yum but just way smaller portion than my friend’s ceviche was. She didn’t say anything and was ready to charge us. Then I asked her to call a manager cuz she had no reaction to my complaints. The manager came to us and the waitress was standing next to him. From my perspective I wanted to have a private conversation with him about the food and unsatisfying service so I didn’t want her next to us. I told him the same story about the food and about waitress never filled up our water cups for the entire time we were there + never brought desert menu and check. He looked at her and she said to me with attitude and unhappy face “ Didn’t I asked you if you want something else when I took the plates out?”. The manager said that he had to talk to someone from the kitchen about my food and promised to get back shortly. I expected him to give as a little discount or complimentary dessert (which any restaurant would do) but in fact he just disappeared and sent the waitress to charge us full price. So I paid the same amount of money as my friend but had less food. I won’t ever get back to this place just because of the way they treat their customers (they don’t care) and it looked like this manager just run away. I would suggest to the owner to change his...
Read moreSo as I'm walking in I'm greater by a beautiful older woman singing Latin music with a beautiful smile the band playing with her are making amazing sounds her voice is gorgeous and I tell my companion wow what a way to be welcomed our Bartender was attentive gave amazing service made sure the water was always filled and always had a smile on his face excellent excellent excellent down to the cancha and plantains which are complementary and customary with Peruvian cuisine, even THAT he didn't let run out before he asked if we wanted more. This is top teir service. And THIS will always bring me back to an establishment before anything else; AMAZING AMAZING service kudos. My companion was urged by yours trully and break the norm of Classico Picso Sour and try the Chicha Morada (Purple Corn) I personally was flashed back to 2015 which was the first time I tried it that amazing flavor unique and refreshing it was perfectly crafted and reminded me why no matter what you choose when it comes to pisco you never lose. Now to the Ceviche. This Ceviche reminded me of the best Ceviche I've ever had on South beach during a Lincoln Road farmers market from an Icebox. It tasted authentic like a recipe your great grandmother passed down from generation to generation. This is currently the best ceviche I've ever had in my life I was taken captured my taste buds were held captive and I had to say without a shadow of a doubt this is number one. Somebody's grandmother is back there in that kitchen making magic. I highly recommend paying the extra $5 to add Corvina instead of white fish. All in all a great experience and I will for sure be back. From the live music to the service to the food this was one of my favorite dining experiences!!!!!!...
Read moreDining out on Father’s Day is supposed to be a celebration, an opportunity to enjoy good food, good company, and warm hospitality. Unfortunately, our visit to Ceviche Inka was anything but.
My wife and I arrived with high hopes, anticipating a festive and flavorful Peruvian meal. Instead, we were met by a waitress whose demeanor can only be described as aggressive and dismissive. She handed me a menu entirely in Spanish. When I politely asked if an English version was available, her response was not just unhelpful but borderline insulting. She asked why I did not speak Spanish.
When I replied that I did not, she followed up by asking if I had ever had Peruvian food before. I answered yes, thinking it might shift the tone. It did not. She then dismissed me by saying I could figure it out since I had it before and walked off again with attitude.
At that point, it became clear we were not going to be treated as welcome guests, let alone paying customers deserving of basic courtesy. Rather than allow the experience to continue downhill, we made the decision to leave and celebrate the occasion somewhere else.
Ceviche Inka may serve authentic Peruvian cuisine, but hospitality is just as crucial to the dining experience as what’s on the plate. Unfortunately, due to this unacceptable interaction, we never even got to that part. First impressions matter and this one was a deal-breaker.
Verdict 1 out of 5 stars Unwelcoming service and rude staff made for an unforgettable experience for all the wrong reasons. I cannot recommend this establishment and will not...
