The Olive Shoppe — Local services in North Myrtle Beach

Went here for the 1st time on Saturday October 4th 2025. We were at Barefoot Landing for the Octoberfest festival happening, and decided to walk around first. This is one of the stores that we stopped in! The Olive Shoppe is a store that sells all different kinds of Olives, and Olive oils and their infusions, like with balsamic, and it is fresher too. My Mom and I actually have been in a few shops like this on various trips in Lancaster PA, and NJ. So we are familiar with this type of place. The Olive Shoppe also has locations in Market Commons here, as well as another location in SC. Walked in and employee was friendly and greeted us. We then looked around at the olives and brought some kind of stuffed olive. We then looked at all the various types of Olive Oils which they had many different items and infused flavors. One can cook with them, One can use it as some kind of marinade, and lots of other things. One can also try the Olive Oil to see if you like it, and can buy it. We both tried the Avacado Olive Oil, and enjoyed it! So we got that. Plus avacado is supposed to be good for a person. We brought Avacado Olive oil, some stuffed olives, and something else, plus we got a olive oil holder that helps the container stay fresh. Purchasing that we got a discount on our items. We shop here frequently. Their olive oils and balsamics are delicious! We love that you can try them before buying. They provide a pairings list and suggested uses sheet. We pair the Meyer lemon oil with the very berry blueberry aged balsamic on salads and it is to die for. We also love pairing the blood orange olive oil with the strawberry balsamic on salads also. Our go to is green leaf lettuce topped with blueberries, strawberries, raspberries and blackberries, toasted pecans, cucumbers, red onion and a combo of these oils and balsamics I just mentioned. They are so much healthier than salad dressings bought from the grocery store.

They also have hand stuffed olives which are excellent. We love coming here around the holidays and buying their small bottles that are packaged for gift baskets. Our friends always love them.

Although I didn’t purchase anything at this place, I felt compelled to do a review.

The store is very neat, clean, well maintained and organized. It is in a good location beside another popular stop at Barefoot Landing. The staff has been friendly and helpful the couple of times that I have been there.

The reason that I gave only 3 stars is that I feel the prices are far to high for the product. I appreciate a unique product, but it’s not unique enough, in my opinion, to warrant the prices that are asked.

Other than that, I would have given 5 stars.
