The ice cream speaks for itself. Homemade ice cream was smooth, rich and creamy. Blueberry cheesecake was delicious and we also had the Sweet shortcake Mason Jar Parfait. That was also delicious. The inside of the store was nice and quaint. The AC was what brought us to this place. We looked up ice cream spots that have AC and this place did, it also had seating for a couple of people. Just right if you don't have many in your group. I will say the staff working thr front counter didn't look like they enjoyed their jobs. They didn't welcome us, didn't talk to us,l at all in fact. We had to ask where to order, then when we told them what we wanted they turned around and just made them with sighs. Once we got seated and we're eating, the two girls just stood there leaning on the counter. They didn't clean, didn't talk to each other, didn't do a thing. Just stood there staring at the floors. I was kind of shocked as in all restaurants there is always something to do. If you have time to lean, you have time to clean. Take it from someone who runs a restaurant. Anyway, don't let the mediocre service deter you from getting good ice cream. It was very...
Read moreOur family left the resort and went on a mission to find some ice cream. We wound up at The Crafty Cow. The atmosphere was light and friendly. Our first question might have been, did the milk for our ice cream come from the cow in that picture? ;-) The person who ordered chocolate said that it was a bit too chocolatey, yet he enjoyed it. As you can see from the picture, he was really getting down to the bottom of things. The mason jar sundae was a cute treat, that major jar cup giving it a rural farm sort of feeling. What was inside of the mason jar is another story. How many Ms are in mmmmmmm? I grabbed a picture of the menu to share, and, looking at the picture afterward, I suppose that the guy behind the counter approved. Hehe. By the way the two people shown in the menu picture offered above and beyond customer service and gave us an extra smile last night. The only downside for me in that there was only one dairy free option, and it was not a flavor that I like. No complaints, though. I mean, it IS an ice cream shoppe. The Crafty Cow gets a yes from our family, both for the dessert and...
Read moreHad higher hopes. I saw a picture posted by someone of one of their ice creams in a mason jar-like and wanted to try. I realized when we got there that they only had two options available, and even with such a limited menu, some of the ingredients were not available. There was no high traffic to justify the shortage. I opted to replace one of the flavors they said was unavailable in that mason jar option I chose for regular chocolate. That too was out. They brought more from the back, which was soft, so I replaced it “again” with something else. The second thing that made me feel uncomfortable was an entire family of 5 standing right behind us inside, no masks and definitely not maintaining ft from us. I understand that some employees get scared to ask customers to put on masks, but it’s the city mandate and the experience definitely made us uncomfortable and couldn’t wait to get out.
Conclusion, it looked pretty, but the taste was just average, wasn’t worth the long drive and didn’t meet my...
