I never write negative reviews, but this guy utterly failed me in every sense of the word. I gave him my Samsung Galaxy S10e in November of 2022 because it died and I wanted him to do data recovery. He quoted me $100 and said that if he couldn't get the job done he wouldn't charge me, this obviously was a great thing. But after a week I hadn't heard back from him so I dropped by and he told me he was waiting for a part to come in. I told him that was all good and that he can call me when he makes progress. Another week later and I hadn't heard back so I called and he assured me that the part was just taking time to come in. The New Year came and went and I still hadn't heard back. When I visited again he seemed like he had forgotten about my phone and assured me that he would get back to it. I left him alone for a bit (my mistake) and didn't end up visiting his shop again until June when I decided that enough was enough. I went to go get my phone back but when I asked about progress he brought my phone out in two halves. Now I don't know anything about phone repair so I decided that maybe he was really putting the effort in and I just told me to call me when it was done. See a pattern here? In November of 2023 I came back into the store and asked again about progress. He said that he got the phone working and just needs me to buy a 64gb flashdrive for him to transfer the data onto. Great! I went to BestBuy and bought a flashdrive and gave it to him the next day. He said he'd call me back when it was done. I bet you can guess, he never called me back. I called him twice and left a voicemail both times without response. Finally I came back in yesterday (December 2023) and asked him about my phone. He asked what my name was again (which how could you forget at this point) and then brought my phone out with a post-it note. He said, "I wrote 'NF' on this which means I deemed it not fixable." ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I just took my phone and left. Now honestly I was only out $10 from buying the flashdrive (which he did return to me) but I can't believe how bad his customer service is and how slow his turnaround time is. He seems like a nice guy, but my experience in his shop was horrible. If you take your phone to him, prepare to hound him over and over again. I hate writing negative reviews, but this was insane. TLDR; He had my phone for 1 year and 1 month, he hardly responded to my calls and he never...
Read moreOk I disdain reviews but I have to make one here, I have been losing, breaking dropping soaking cell phones for years, I have had to use local guys in my neighborhood to repair or sell me phones, I used this shop the first time many many years ago ( maybe like 15-20 years Im not sure but a long time ago) and was extremely impressed with the owners ability to do repairs. I do electronics repairs and have been a mechanic for over 40 years and I am amazed by bill, long story short, because I moved I have tried many other dealers but I have gone strictly back to pro comm even with the longer drive and time frame because no one can compete and be there like this guy, I never have to deal with different people everytime I go to this store, just 1 and i do not have to deal with people who only wish to sell and have no knowledge, NOT HERE, personally I may never use another phone store for any reason, its a local shop, not a chain, and straight up service, when my phone is salvageable, he saves it, when it is not he lets me know or like my last phone he spent 2 days trying to repair my on life support phone i dropped in water for me that ended up dying in the ICU, but he he tried and gave me a great deal on a new one, I highly recommend this store, I have never had even a remotely bad experience here, I give it 5...
Read moreDropped my son's phone off for a screen repair. I was told it would take a couple days to get the screen in for his Motorola Moto Z play. We ended up not getting the phone back until 2 months later. Every time I called, there was an excuse. The new screen didn't work, and a couple of others. Finally just showed up one night and he got to fixing it right away, but I had to wait. When we got the phone back, he told us the light sensor melted when he took the screen off and that no longer worked. I paid him his $175 and took the phone home. When Munson started using it, he realized the speaker must have been damaged as well because it sounded muffled and unintelligible.
I didn't even want to deal with taking it back, especially since It took months for the first repair. We ended up just buying him a new phone, which is probably what I should have done in the first place instead of getting the broken screen replaced. I would have saved $175.
I took it here based on the positive reviews on Google. Most people seemed happy. My...
