Mi Pueblo — Restaurant in North Richland Hills

I tried this restaurant last weekend cause I was in the neighborhood and wanted some good Mexican food. Sat at our table in the bar area they brought out chips and salsa, two different kinds of salsa one taste like tomato paste which it was not good but I’m pretty sure other people like it. Ordered the burrito dinner I ate like 1/4 of the burrito, rice and beans and took the rest to go. After I made it home and went to bed I couldn’t sleep my stomach was hurting and it felt like I had to vomit. I was in the bathroom for most of the night and slept with a trash bag by my bed. I looked up the restaurant score the next day and saw they scored a 11 when a perfect score is 0. I then called the restaurant and spoke with a manager to let them know what I went through first they asked if I had been to the hospital and I said no it’s food poisoning no need to go the hospital, it was if they did not care they said “well since no one else has called with the same symptoms it was nothing they could do” how do you tell a paying customer this so I called the health department then called the restaurant back a second time because i want a refund for my meal that was not eaten and the lady manager basically said the same thing and asked if I went to the hospital if I had of ate the whole burrito I probably would have ended up in the hospital and they would be out of pocket more than just a refund...

It was our first time here. We thought we would give it a try rather than go to our regular places something to try new and exciting! We got in right away on a Friday night that was exciting. Her server was a nice looking young man, but not very attentive. He was very distracted. He was looking at other people at other tables he kept counting the tables he could barely read his own handwriting however, he did get our order, right amazingly enough after we got our order he was much more attentive other staff members and I assume managers, they all made a point to come by and check to see if everything was OK that was very very nice! I had to Mi Tierra Plattet which was a soft fajita taco beef and a cheese chili, Relleno with queso refried beans no rice. Darrell had the Amigo platter which was cheese, enchiladas, and a crispy beef, taco beans and rice. They gave us when we first came in a very large bowl of chips and a large bowl of salsa. The salsa was good. The chips were fresh delicious! My chili Relleno was very good. The beans were good. I did not care for the soft fajita taco. The fajita meat just really didn’t have a good flavor. Darrell said his was OK. He ate pretty good. I don’t know that we will be back. We will wait and see. I gave the food five stars because mine was really very good except...

My 1st time going and probably my last. Service from the waitress was blah. She hardly spoke english, but when it came down to telling the manager the problem she hurried and pulled him to the side. My daughter had to send her plate back twice because the meat was pink. One thing my daughter always says is burn my meat. When i asked the manager was she going to get a discount, our waitress pulled him off to the side, which i thought was rude. When he came back he said was everything ok, i said so shes not getting a discount for having pink meat after she always asks for it to be well well well cooked, he then took the ticket and walked off. He came back and said her plate was taken off, like he had to pay for it. If the cooks in the back would pay attention to the instructions of the customer, things like this wouldnt happen! Frozen Margaritas were not frozen like they should be and mine had too much Raspberry flavor in it. Place is too cluttered. They need to expand.
