My review/experience at this store is from 4/12/21. I didn't look at clothes so I can't attest to the quality, brands, or price in that section. While the non-profit organization's mission is one that I contribute to and there might be some designer finds at this store, I won't be treasure hunting at Second Glance anytime soon.
The first piece of furniture that caught my eye was seating from what appeared to be from the Victorian era, priced at $1000. Ok, this place seems tidy enough, and with that price tag, this might be more of a substantial resale shop. As I browsed housewares, it seemed stocked with generally the same items you would find at a typical thrift store like Goodwill.
The prices for the couple items I looked at were shocking. A dingy and yellowing plastic clock for $4... for one more dollar, you can get a brand new one at Target. A used cylinder vase for $3... that same exact one but new is literally sold for $1 at DollarTree.
What a joke.
The woman who was working today wasn't helpful or friendly, so I'm curious about other reviews raving about the staff. When I entered the store, she stared at me yet didn't greet me (some people don't care for that), but she greeted the person that came in right after me. Odd.
As I was leaving the store, she literally stared me up and down from head to toe and didn't say a word. My outfit wasn't captivating. I was wearing a green t-shirt, modest length denim shorts, and running shoes. I said "have a great day" and she with her teeth clenched responded "you too". Not sure what that...
Read moreThis WAS a fun resale shop until it changed hands. Since then, the prices are too high and there isn't half as much stuff on the sales floor. What are they doing with all of the donations that never make it to the floor??? The worst, though, is the new management. I went in 10 minutes before closing and the manager yelled across the store that they were closing in 5 minutes. I yelled back, " Is it 5 00 in 5 minutes?" She replied in the most condescending tone that they are a non-profit store and they can't afford to keep the lights on past 5 o'clock, so they close promptly at 5. I said that there was still 10 minutes until then and that she was being so rude to me. Then she said, that I was just mad because I wanted to shop and they were closing and that I needed to leave or she would call the cops!!! What??? I told her that she was unbelievable. Then, she told me she would walk me to the door and that I should never come back!!! Again, I told her she was unbelievable. Then, she told the cashier to go ahead and call the cops!!! I left saying that the whole thing was outrageous. And then she said "God bless you," as she locked the door!!! When I got to my car it was 4:53!!! Whoa, I don't want to ever deal with that girl again. I will NOT have a problem not...

Don't worry no one wants to steal 5.00 worth of Christmas decorations and if they did you might want to consider how they treat others . Roll your eyes at...
