Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Watauga

9.14.2024-8:45 pm I picked up my pizza & 1/3 of it is messed up. Picture added below. But at this point I’m in bed & too lazy to return it. I also ordered a 2L root beer. When I arrived, they had none in the fridge. The sweet lady who helped me went to the back to get me one. It was not cold & she gave me the option of a different cold soda, which I took. I didn’t reduce them to a 1-star because of her. But they were reduced to a 2-star. Sigh….

8.20.2024-This is 99% about the delivery driver. When I received my pizza, it wasn’t cut. No biggie, but then I realized the driver didn’t leave my drink. I immediately called and spoke with Devonne (I apologize if it’s miss spelled) who was very courteous and understanding. He told me he would send the driver back. I live five minutes away and it took him almost 30 minutes to get it to me. (I called a second time & Devonne said it was just him and the driver today and they were busy, understandable) By the time I received it, the drink was not as cold & it appeared it had been shaken. I buy drinks from this location all of the time and have never had a drink that needed 2-3 minutes to open because of the amount of fizz that bubbled up. I’ve included a picture. Today is horribly hot and I could just be easily annoyed but my adult son who initially met the driver at the door, said he was very nice and the driver told him he “gave us” a bunch of extras for our pizza. I looked at my son and told him, “I ordered the extras and paid for them.” My son busted out a good laugh! A picture of the receipt included. I have been a part-time Dasher for over 5 years, so I know a delivery drivers do’s and don’ts. You already received your tip. No need to lie about something so small in hopes of getting an extra tip.

The NY style pizza was good. I still prefer the thin crust over the others, but that is a personal preference and not a quality issue.

I will go back to picking up my orders and save me the extra $9 I spent on the delivery fee + tip. It was just too hot to go...

My experience this evening at Papa John's what's the worst experience I have ever had at any restaurant I walked in I ordered a pizza I did not know how to work the debit card machine the lady at the register is the manager of the store at that moment I asked her very politely can she please tell me what button I'm supposed to push because I cannot afford to leave a tip she told me to push F1 so I pushed F1 and it automatically gave a dollar eighty something tip when I told her ma'am I apologize but I told you I could not afford a tip you told me to push F1 she explained to me she knows nothing about the debit card machine which I'm pretty sure that was a lie she wasn't wearing a mask everybody else that works there was wearing masks she touched the telephone she touched the computer then she walked over and I actually watched her not wash your hands and start making my pizza and other people's Pizza everybody was complaining that nobody is tipping good that everybody is no good customers are no good because nobody wants to tip big in a pen ademic time nobody can afford to tip they can barely afford to buy a pizza I've never been treated this unfairly where a manager of a store tries to steal the tip I would highly recommend nobody come to this Papa John's it is too dangerous the manager doesn't wear masks don't wear gloves touches everything her hands are dirty and then she touches the pizzas if she does it I'm sure she lets everybody else get away with it to you so bad bad thing for the manager to show very bad disrespect to her other employees...

My family and I decided that we would order pizza to be delivered for dinner, I should have asked around or read reviews for myself before choosing this place! I will NEVER order from this particular store again. The complaints go on and on… For one, we tip cash and NEVER tip on our receipt (especially not until we receive our food). The delivery driver had the audacity to call me to ask if I was tipping (extremely rude if you ask me). I live less than 2 miles away so I don’t know why our food would not be warm at the least, and our pizzas weren’t cut! Huge disappointment, lesson learned!!! Apparently there are several people who have issues with this store and also with this particular delivery driver and yet NOTHING has been done about the complaints. Save yourself some time and your hard earned money and find a different...
