Honest review coming at ya…
Last week, I figured we’d give it a try since I had my seven-year-old son with me (who happens to be autistic). I didn’t know how loud it might be, so he had his noise-canceling headphones.
I’d never been, so I wasn’t sure of protocol. I just grabbed a bowl and added 3 flavors I thought he’d enjoy: strawberry, mango & pineapple. They complemented each other nicely. He prefers eating out of a cone, so I was happy to see they had mini sugar cones as a topping.
What I didn’t realize was that you pay by weight, which I guess should’ve been obvious — but that bowl ended up costing about $13. A bit steep, but hey… welcome to 2025. 😩
Here’s my biggest gripe: there’s only 1 size & it’s BIG. No small, medium, or large — just 1 big ass size. If you fill it, you’re going to be in for a bill. They should absolutely offer smaller sizes to help parents portion better, especially when you’ve got kids grabbing the handle and going rogue with the flavors.
Flavor-wise, the mango had a texture more like water ice — which surprised me — but it still tasted great. The pineapple had more of that classic frozen yogurt creaminess, and it was also very good. But the star of the show? The strawberry. SO GOOD. Like, good enough that I immediately knew I’d come back just for that.
Fast forward to today: after my son’s speech therapy session, we swung by again — this time with my nine-year-old, who had sampled a bite last time and was pumped to get his own.
When we walked in, I told the girl at the counter that we had a first-timer and asked if we could sample a few flavors. She asked how many sample cups I wanted, and I said three to start (lol).
We sampled: • Vanilla – super bland. Not bad, just very boring. • Cake batter – not for me, but my kid loved it (classic). • Cotton candy – also not my thing, but again, very “kid.”
Then we asked for three more: • Banana – tasted exactly like banana Laffy Taffy. Weird but tasty. • California Tart – huge mistake. Horrible. My son spit it out. • Another vanilla (not sure why there are two) – also bland.
My seven-year-old played it safe and stuck with the same trio from last time, but he put in less this time and his cup came to around $10.
My nine-year-old helped himself to cake batter and then grabbed cookies and cream — assuming he’d love it because it’s usually a favorite. Unfortunately, as soon as he tried it, he said it tasted like coffee — and I agree. Not good. Definitely not cookies and cream vibes.
I asked the girl at the counter if he could scoop it out since he hadn’t sampled it and clearly didn’t like it, but she said, “Unfortunately, we’re not allowed to do that.” She suggested adding crushed Oreos to fix the flavor, which was thoughtful, but it didn’t help. My son left disappointed.
I used it as a lesson: next time, sample before scooping. Or better yet — before making Mommy buy.
Aside from that one hiccup, my only real critique is the lack of counter space or a little ledge to set things down. As a parent walking in with more than one kid — trying to help Child A scoop without letting Child B eat before we pay — it would be super helpful to have a narrow shelf along the wall across from the machines.
The space is small, with only a few small tables and chairs (maybe three total?), so seating is limited.
That said, it was very clean both times we visited. The toppings bar was well-stocked and spotless. The staff were young teens, but they said hi both times (I think), and they were pretty patient while we sampled.
Music — if there was any — wasn’t loud, which was a major plus for us with sensory sensitivities.
Flavors were clearly labeled, and I noticed some were marked fat-free or dairy-free, though I’m not sure if there were gluten-free options.
All in all, it’s a cute little spot with some really great flavors (again — get the strawberry!). Just know it’s pay-by-weight, the bowl is massive, seating is limited, and it’s best to sample...
Read moreI have been to this location plenty of times since it has opened. The flavor options are great, catering to any craving. They even have dairy free options like the water ice and dole whip. The cup sizes being the same makes it super easy to get as much yogurt as you would like. Now for the toppings, there are plenty of options to choose from with great diversity. From fruit, to chocolate, to even mini cones or cookie dough chunks, all of the toppings are great! The staff here is great and always on top of keeping things clean and are always very nice. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area to come...
