Abusive business, encouraging cheat and defrauding behavior. I am utterly disgusted. As a first time customer to A.M. Lee Jewelers, I stopped in for a battery change and gold battery strap replacement of my Omega watch. The young salesman possessed a sincere attitude of indifference and disparaging behavior which in itself was irritating and raised a flag. After a week with no follow-up I stopped in and was told that a total overhall would cost $300-$400. What? I was stunned. At no point did I request an overhall, nor did I request a replacement gasket, nor did I even remotely request tampering with and breaking the micro-processor. All I requested was a battery and battery strap! I tried to leave immediately but the salesman had torn apart my watch and needed time to put it back together. When I stopped in again to pick up my watch and explained my frustration with the older salesman, he was dismissive and refused to acknowledge my original request and the resulting issue. I tried to explain three times with a total lack of understanding or professionalism. I am thoroughly disgusted that the young salesman took such harsh advantage of me (a potential repeat customer) resulting in a situation that will now cost me hundreds of dollars to fix elsewhere. The Lee family at AM Lee jewelers are fantastic to work with, you can't beat the excellent service anywhere. My family and I have been trusting them with our jewelry for years, not only on repairs and customs designs, but also on purchases of new jewelry. My mother has a favorite ring that she tried to have replicated several times from other jewelers downtown on jewelry lane and it was a failure every time, we took the ring into AM Lee and it was identical. They did such a great job we went back and had the same piece made into a necklace charm since they kept the mold on file, and the price was so reasonable we had two made with different stones. We recently went in to look at diamonds for a custom ring and after reviewing several options Zion recommended the best 'bang for the buck' for size, color, clarity and price. This is the place to go for any jewelry needs. I took my engagement ring there to be sized and they accurately measured my finger and even explained what size the ring will be lowered too. The jeweler knew just from looking at my ring that it was White Gold and advised that the ring would need to be replated after being sized but that it was not an immediate needed. They were straight forward and honest. Looking online the average sizing takes 2 weeks. They had it done in less than a week. They charged me the exact amount I was quoted, not a penny more. They even cleaned my ring at no added charge. They are honest and know what they are doing. They have great pricing as well. If you have any jewelry needs this is the place to go.
