This is a sit-down version of Once Upon A Deli with even more offerings. Expect the entire menu of Once Upon A Deli, including sliced meat to go, with the additions of Taco Tuesdays and Wing Wednesdays.
Weekend brunch was the kickstarter for return visits. Cheese blintzes were great for me and slightly too sweet for a fellow diner, and the corned beef hash lacked flavor for everyone in our group due to their mild but crispy hash. But oh, that grilled steak and eggs dish! That breakfast enchilada with salsa verde!
Taco Tuesdays included very good homemade flan and mouthwateringly better tres leches cake for dessert, which is also made in-house. The steak, ground beef, and fish tacos were a far cry from a nearby competitor's, but the chorizo tacos were a bit more spicy, making them (i.e., these spicier ones) the winner. Oodles of cut limes were also available on request.
Wednesday Wings beat Taco Tuesdays by a mile, though. In addition to crispy plain, there were four flavors -- barbecue, buffalo, teriyaki, and Valentina (more chili-flavored than the vinegary taste of buffalo sauce) -- and each was excellent. All of the wings were large, meaty, crispy on the outside, and drenched in sauce when flavored. Ranch and bleu cheese were available on the side although neither was necessary to enjoy these fantastic things.

Read moreOnce Upon A Grill is a counter-service style of deli. They have great breakfast options, good bagels, and delicious sandwiches. The service is always good and helpful and their bussers/food runners are extremely friendly and helpful.
They have a ton of food options from deli to tacos to wings. However, I tend to order their Once Upon A Breakfast when I go in the mornings. Eggs how you want them, a meat selection, hash browns or fruit, and toast or pancakes with a beverage.
Lunch is always a deli sandwich...however, they have an extensive menu. You help yourself to anything: coffee, tea, soda, horchata, etc.
You even get your own silverware and napkins are on the table. For all intents and purposes, the counter service acts more like a cafeteria.
I meet for breakfast here once a month and sometimes meet a group during the week. It's truly my go-to breakfast place.
A couple doors down is the Once Upon A Deli so you can purchase items in bulk or order trays for lifecycle events. They are perfect for shivas/wakes, Jewish holidays, family gatherings, etc.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Once Upon a Grill! From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable. The staff were not just polite but genuinely welcoming, making us feel like honored guests.
The food quality was great. This is a quality mid-teer breakfast diner. I have ordered several things off the menu and each dish was really good. You can get bagels, skillets, omelets, and many other breakfast foods. I have not had the pancakes but from what I have seen it is not that great.
The establishment is very clean and spotless, from the tables to the restrooms. It felt like the staff really took pride in maintaining a pristine environment.
However, it's important to note that "Once Upon a Grill" is not a place for those seeking ultra-fancy, gourmet dining. Instead, it excels as a haven for comfort food lovers, offering delicious, well-prepared dishes in a friendly, inviting atmosphere.
