There are not words to express our appreciation to Joe Ascher at Physio Partners for his extraordinarily kind, knowledgeable and professional care. My husband, who is in his late 70's, was unable to stand upright or walk and needed to be pushed into our first meeting with Joe. He had been in excruciating pain for about 6 weeks and medical treatments had proven useless, . His situation was complicated because his left hip needed replacement, but, while waiting for surgery, something went wrong on his right side causing unbearable pain. We needed to solve the right side problem before we could contemplate going ahead with replacing the left hip. Joe was so attentive to my husband's issues and provided extraordinary high level, careful, and well-considered therapy. After only 2 or 3 sessions, the pain on the right side was so diminished that my husband was able to walk upright again with the use of a cane to relieve his left hip. Joe's gentle, respectful treatment of a senior who came to him in terrible distress, as well as his obviously outstanding skill in his profession are truly remarkable. We recommend him without...

Joe isn't just any physical therapist; he's a true gem. He listens like a friend and treats like a pro. Every session felt tailor-made for me, not just some run-of-the-mill routine. He's got this knack for making you feel heard and understood, and that's rare.
I've got to say, the progress was amazing. Each visit brought something new and positive, and I could feel the pain melting away. I started off hobbling in pain and ended up walking out with a spring in my step – quite literally!

Read moreMy endocrinologist recommended a group called PhysioPartners in Glenview and physical therapist Joe Ascher to help me manage my osteoporosis. Physical therapy for osteoporosis, I asked? Absolutely, she told me. Exercise, if done frequently and properly, can help strengthen bones and muscles and improve balance and stability to prevent falls and possible fractures, which is just what the doctor ordered.
So once a week for four months Joe worked with me on a custom program that I could do in my living room. I now have a set of individualized exercises that target my issues—like my poor posture, weak core and annoying lower back pain, and hopefully they will help improve my strength bone density. I highly recommend working with Joe. He is organized, knowledgeable, kind and enthusiastic. A great teacher as well as motivator—which is exactly what I need to continue this exercise regimen as a...
