My husband Omar has been working at Target in Glenview for almost 3 years...He was fired on Monday... He enjoyed working at Target and would come home and tell me all the different people that he met and how he helped customers.. He always made sure that the customers leave happy and that he helped them... Customers come to his line and are willing to wait long lines to just have him as their cashier.. Beause they know they will get a smile and amazing customer service from him.. Customers that have become very good friends with him have come to our daughter's 2nd birthday... He had to get Certain amount of red cards for target. If the customer did not know they're so security number his team leaders taught him a different way to process that information. Customers would have to put in 0000 or 9999. Where would he learn to do that but a Team Leader the person that trained him. No one just knows how to do it but has to be taught to do it.. The pressure for red cards was always on for cashiers to get a certain amount of red cards by day and by week.. If they got red cards the Team Leaders would give gifts like a gift card and groceries ect... Almost 85% of the cashiers would be doing this because that's how they were taught to do things... They had him sign a paper on Friday July13, 2018 that should have been signed when he first started that job.. If the team leaders are teaching the cashiers to do the process wrong then the team leader should be fired.. His team leader that called him the best worker and good friend throw him under the bus and all of a sudden acted like he told him not to do somthing like that. He was not the only one that was fired on Monday for the same reason but still this was somthing that could of been avoided.. Definitely there should be actions taken against these team leader..    Read moreAfter my son soccer practice I decided to do some shopping, my mom was visiting and nothing we like to do more than to do target runs. Not only were we followed the whole time while we were shopping. But once we were in the self check out the arget associate working the line, question each item by saying oh how much is that? Then verifying the price on the screen. They had a great pre Black Friday deal spend $75 in clothing get $20 off on clothing which I took advantage for some winter clothes for my son. I did separate purchases to take advantage of the coupon deal. The target employee question why was splitting the payment? Mind you People rang out their items as she simply greeted them and basically harassed us. I finally had enough when the associate asked about the 3 purchase we were making (since my mom bought my mom some snacks and spider man light up shoes). What about the snack? I said ma’am she’s going to be paying for that is there a problem why your only worried about my transactions? The Target associate responded replied oh no I just want to make sure cause security is watching. I responded well great I’m sure if they have any questions they can ask me. The target associate responded oh I’m just make sure everything is correct. I end the conversation by saying well seems like you only checking and worried about me and my transactions. I understand retail, believe me as a general manager myself of a retail location I get retail theft. But harassing a PAYING CUSTOMER is a different story. I will never shop at this target I rather drive out my way and go to the Target in Niles, before I ever return to this profiling Glenview...
   Read moreOH HOW THE TABLES HAVE TURNED. I originally reviewed this place low as they never have anything. But recently I can’t take it anymore. I was in the area so I decided to do a return here. I purchased it on a visa gift card. She then asked me if I want it on the visa credit card or gift card. We said gift card as we assumed that it would be the visa gift card but lo and behold it is a crusty Target gift card. I told her that I thought it would be the visa gift card based on how she worded it but she kept making us feel like we were stupid by repeating that we are in a Target store. She wasn’t able to fix it and the manager came and kept defending her. All she had to do was admit that she messed up, worded it wrong, and say sorry. I was not expecting a miracle. Everyone makes fun of Americans because of how they will never admit that they are wrong, and I am saying this as an American. I am tired of people making small mistakes and instead of owning up to it they act like you are the fool. This is happening way too much lately.
Worst TARGET in the area 100%. Never have anything. Always say they have what you want but you go into the store and they have nothing on shelf. You ask the workers if they have it in the back and they look at you like an alien and then they say “no it’s on shelf” but it is NOT on shelf, look yourself before judging me. Fix this it is so frustrating and they always lying and I can’t take it anymore. I’m so stupid because I still come here even though I know they won’t have what I want. If y’all have too little shelf space PUT STUFF ON SALE and don’t mark it as IN STOCK when it’s physically...
