Very disappointed with the after sale service and support! I’ve purchased Lazy Boy recliners since the early 1990s. Today’s Lazy Boy is apparently not the company that I’d experienced before. Over the years I’ve purchased at least 2 sets of couch/love seat recliner sets, as well as individual single recliner, and separate chairs-and-a-half recliner with regular couch combinations for multiple rooms in my former house. Had been very pleased with past purchases. Many of which were passed down when replaced to family or friends because they were still in very good condition after many years of service. Only one piece of past furniture ever had a problem. At the time a seam was opening after a few years of service. At the time I contacted the Orland Park store and they had a serviceman come out and fix the issue in my house at no-charge under warranty.
That is not the case with my most recent purchase from October of 2023 from the Glenview location. Within less than 2 years the reclining mechanism is creaking loudly. When I called for service help I was advised that I could have a virtual appointment to identify the problem; However, to fix it would require a $160 (for the first hour) service call for even just lubricating a fitting, plus $13 handling for any parts if needed. This is unacceptable customer service for furniture that cost over $2,500 and should still be in the early stages of its expected...
Read moreWork with Darrin the store mgn. he was able to send me sampled to my home and helped decide which loveseat was beneficial for our needs, and most comfortable. Now we wait for the delivery. This was my first review with a 5 star rating!
I originally rated Lazyboy a 5star in April for all the great work by the store manager. I just changed rating to a Star 1, please read below to see why. Today is 6/20/20 Yes the above review was sent in April. As you can see in my review I mentioned loveseat we've been waiting 8 weeks for our loveseat finding out that we are getting a sofa. Now my order is wrong so my five stars goes to a one star because lazy boy will not help me rebound and gain my love seat in a quicker fashion than 8 to 10 weeks. They made the mistake and I have to pay the consequences awaiting for another order which hopefully will be correct this time! There should be something LazyBoy can do to expedite my order quicker for their mistake. Please don't let me what another 2 months. Management needs to help fix this error and treat me like they treated the home shoping TV program with great service and quick delivery. Please help my new sales receipt is 60-72373 I am very sick about this error and little support...
Read moreLa-Z-Boy Is a Complete Disappointment – Don’t Waste Your Money
I bought a sectional from La-Z-Boy thinking I was investing in quality. Big mistake. Within FOUR MONTHS, the chaise cushion was visibly sagging and uncomfortable to sit on. I filed a warranty claim, and a technician came out and confirmed the cushion needed to be replaced—but said it would “take some time.”
Then… silence. For months. No updates, no follow-up, nothing. When I finally reached out again, I was told it was just “normal wear and tear” and wouldn’t be covered under warranty. That’s outrageous.
Let’s be clear: a sagging cushion after four months is NOT normal, and La-Z-Boy clearly does not stand behind its products or its promises. They’ll send someone to confirm the issue, string you along, and then blame you for their poor craftsmanship.
This company has gone downhill. The quality is awful, and the customer service is even worse. I regret ever walking into their store. If you’re considering buying from La-Z-Boy—DON’T. Save yourself the frustration and take your hard-earned...
