I am so disappointed about my door installation process. I want to install a regular interior door to my family room. I paid $40 to scheduled to measurement with home depot agent. Then, after a week, I finally got a quote of $1,122 to install a door, with $440 as the door itself.
I asked them why it is so expensive, and I got the answer that my door is customized. I know my door size should be 36*80, and I saw the 6 panel door just $140. They did not even ask me what kind of door they can provide but just give me the $440 door quote.
Do not ask them to install the door... Buy the door you need and let the handy man do the work.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrible experience. Had plumbing to do so I needed to ask the associate about the right washer. Took fifteen minutes to hail one of these down (most of them were standing around in the aisles having conversations). Associate who finally was hailed was Russian, spoke little to no English, ignored everything I said. He walks over to a washer rack that was empty and says without checking "we are out of part." Walks away without comment. It turned out the part was there but it took me another twenty minutes to find it. I then asked another associate fro plumber's grease. Of course, she didn't know so she summons aforementioned Russian. "What kind of plumber's grease you want?" he says Me: "any kind." "Adhesive?" Me: no plumber's grease." Hands me adhesive and then walks away cursing me in Russian. Finally at the register I couldn't check out because nothing was marked. Of course check person once she could be persuaded to end her conversation with another associate had no idea about what the part was. She walks off with another associate and returns with a different part entirely. I asked to see the store manager and the kid pretended to try and summon him, then hung up the phone and walked off. This must be the worst run store in America. All of these positive reviews are obviously fabricated. DO NOT SHOP HERE EVER. Staff can barely speak English by and large, have zero product knowledge universally, and would share it with you if they had. Just awful. I do not as a rule complain but I was in there over an hour in the middle of the afternoon when the store was mostly empty. Better off laying every single worker off. It would beat the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe guy manning Tool Rental at this store between 8:15 and 8:30 pm on 1/22/19 was very rude and unhelpful. When I arrived at the location during their business hours to rent a dry/wet vacuum there was no one there on staff. It would take 2 associates to call over intercom and 10 minutes waiting to get him back. Ok that I can get over with. After I made the request the guy told me their equipment was out. I told him that I checked online before going in and it appeared they had not one but two available; this is when he started to get agitated and shot back to me in very strong tone that one is out and the other is broken. I accepted and thanked him. No response from him and no eye contact. I later checked on my phone again while shopping for some other stuff and it still showed they had 2. Not wanting to waste a trip through the heavy snow I went to him again and just wanted him to double check, letting him know about what the website said. The guy grew even more dismissive and offended, saying "I told you ... it's (website) always gonna say that...." I thought his attitude was unnecessary. Trying to relax the situation, I said "ok, I tried", again, no response back as he just looked back at his computer screen as if he just fended off an intruder. He made it like I was making a mistake by asking him to rent me the equipment and wanting him to double check out of conflict with their own online information. It never occurred to him that maybe he should apologize for the misinformation on their website and my wasted trip through the snow storm as a result. Such a bad experience with a store I have liked and shopped often over the 2 years of living...
