Panda Express — Restaurant in Northfield Township

It’s not very often that we get to order out so it was very important to us during this pandemic that we patronize local stores and I hadn’t had panda express for a long time so I was very excited we ordered panda express last night from the Glenview store the food was so subpar was very disappointed and sad the rice was absolutely undercooked the portion sizes compared to what they normally give was very little the chicken was like tiny little nuggets almost look like pebbles with two extra large pieces, The crab Rangoon‘s were horrible there was so much green stuff in it it was not edible, The vegetables that I ordered were not correct I was sent broccoli and something else as a side when I ordered the zucchini mixture , the noodles had so much cabbage in it it took me 10 minutes picking out cabbage just to be able to eat my noodles and to top it off there were no fortune cookies. The one positive thing was the zucchini mushroom and chicken that we ordered was very good. When I called to talk to someone about this I basically got brushed off. We love the food at Panda Express. I've tried the Wok Seared Steak and Shrimp- it was really good. The steak was soft to bite, it was very delicious. The mushroom chicken was good, the Beijing Beef was sweet, spicy and delicious. My hubby ordered the original all time favorites Orange Chicken and the honey walnut shrimps. You can choose over between SuperGreens (steamed broccoli) fried rice, chow mein or white rice.We had an Asian sumptuous meal.

I am giving 4 stars because one of their crew doesn't know what she was doing and she was mean too. The woman who are getting our order doesn't understand what we want and it seems that she was on a rush. She put Angus steak on my order instead of the New Wok Seared Steak that I wanted to try. She was also getting mad at my husband because she couldn't understand him. (My husband is an American, the woman taking our order seems to speak Spanish and know a little english). For those of you who haven’t ate at Panda Express before, its like eating a somewhat healthy meal depending on what you get.. you choose from rice or noodles or half and half, or rice and veggies : noodles and veggies and then you choose two entrees such as orange chicken or teriyaki chicken and honey walnut shrimp. There are many options to choose from and you can mix and match. They also have little appetizers like spring rolls and crab rangoon.
