Waffle House — Restaurant in Northport

The coffee was great.....

Today Salena treated me to a late lunch at Waffle House. I knew a cup of hot coffee would ease my throat pain so I went. Two booths behind us sat a thin white woman a little older than me but I didn't know her; I knew that look on her face though. It was pure despair. She was on the verge of tears. I told Salena I felt like I should go say something to her, to pray with her but I just kept sitting there. I didn't feel good myself and she didn't know me but I smiled when our eyes met, hers wet with tears she was holding back.

Next thing I knew she was in her Burgundy colored Sedona van. I told the Lord, "If she gets back out of that van, I'll talk to her." She didn't get out. She drove away. I'd like to tell her I'm sorry and that let her know that I rode around looking for her for a while. I prayed for her and she is going in my prayer box. If anyone knows her, please tell her I'm sorry that I didn't act when the Holy Spirit clearly...

A friend of mine asked me to go to Waffle House this morning at 4:30 am. We were both awake, and he asked if I was hungry. I haven't been to a Waffle House for over two years. I ordered the All-Star special for both of us. Two Scrambled Eggs with Toast & Jelly; choice of Grits, Hashbrowns or Sliced Tomatoes; a Waffle and your choice of Bacon, Sausage or City Ham. I ordered hash browns and the sausage. He wanted grits and sausage. The waffle was really good. The entire meal was great. I had to carry it to go. They do a nice job of packing plastic ware, butter, and syrup inside the bag with the food. I should have asked for jelly,...

Stopped by after work. Ordered a flat omelette cook said he "didn't know how" to make the omelette without blending the eggs. The waitress actually walked away while taking my order, and I had to call her back over to finish taking my order and get my drink. The blank stares she gave me we're priceless though, it was like I spoke a foreign language. I would be understanding if the diner was busy but it is definitely not. I'm seriously amazed at the sheer incompetence of the staff. And to top it off my order was messed up, and the biscuits and gravy we're ice cold, still fridge temp. Thanks...
