Found my perfect dress at Magnolia Laine!!

ML was the second place I tried on dresses — the first place I found a dress that I liked, but was far too expensive. I shared the dress with ML and Kelsey let me know there was a dress arriving to the shop a few weeks later that shared a lot of the same characteristics (spoiler: it ended up being the one!), so I scheduled an appointment accordingly.

When I came to my appointment, I was immediately greeted and the shop itself is lovely — bright with natural lighting, gorgeous dresses at every corner! After a quick consultation, Kelsey told me she had already pulled the dress we talked about, but then led me to the main floor for “shopping” for more dresses to try on. I loved that at ML: Dresses were organized by silhouette (rather than by designer), and then “bling/sparkle” dresses are separated from the simpler ones - I knew by this point what silhouette I wanted, so it made it much less overwhelming. The prices are clearly shown on every single dress tag. No surprises like at the first place I went dress shopping where price wasn’t told to me until the end. You don’t accidentally try on any dresses that are out of your price range! Each tag also shows common customizations or other colors, etc. it comes in. When trying on, there are two hooks next to the mirror so you can keep your top 2 dresses in easy view while you’re looking at yourself in another dress. Do you like the dress you have on better than your current #1 choice? Better than your current #2? It makes it easy to do pros/cons and point out what you do and don’t like. All the dresses are pretty, but this continuous “ranking” process was awesome and made me feel confident in my decision making. Kelsey was also super helpful, positive, and lovely to work with. I felt comfortable with her and she was never pushing me into anything. She asked thoughtful questions, talked to me about customizations/alterations, and seemed to really understand my vibe to help me find a dress that was perfect for me.

Magnolia Laine Bridal in Northville was the first store I visited as I began my search for a wedding gown. Kelsey was so sweet and patient and communicated with me ahead of time to understand my interests and the styles of dresses I was looking for.

Upon coming to my appointment, I was impressed by how beautiful and serene the Magnolia Laine Northville location was. I had been to this location before when it was Elizabeth’s and Magnolia has beautifully updated the building. We were the only appointment at the time and we truly had the entire building to ourselves.

Kelsey listened to what I was looking for and offered a few other suggestions as well. The first dress I tried on brought an instant smile to my face. I tried on some other ones as well of many different styles and Kelsey was so patient with me, my mom and my sister, appeasing all of our requests throughout the time.

Ultimately I wasn’t sure I wanted to say yes in that moment since Magnolia was my first store. I went to a few other stores (none of which had the same, private, calming experience) and kept comparing to the first dress at Magnolia. I communicated with Kelsey via text, asking for additional photos of the dress and she was always so quick to respond. I ultimately came back to Magnolia, tried on my original first dress and finally said yes!

I found a dress I fell in love with online and called Magnolia Laine - Northville as I knew the store carried the specific designer for the dress. The manager informed me they did not have the dress I wanted, but went above and beyond to have a loan shipped to try on before my bridal appointment. In between then, she was always available to answer any questions or concerns regarding the loan prior to my appointment. On the day of our appointment, my mother and I were greeted with great kindness and welcome. The bridal shop is absolutely gorgeous, clean, and modern. The manager made sure to make the day feel more special by adding personalized touches including my name on signs in the personal fitting room. She was super professional all throughout and was patient with questions regarding customizations of the dress. I said yes to the dress that day and we celebrated with Champaigne. I was handed a magnolia lane gift bag that included a plastic water bottle, mini candle, and the most adorable magnolia earrings. After the appointment, I wanted to change one customization of the dress and the manager was able to facilitate that with ease. Above all, the entire process from our initial phone call to the end of my appointment was met well above my expectations and I can say the whole experience was by far the best out of all the bridal shops I went to throughout my...
