Custard Time — Restaurant in Northville

This has been my favorite ice cream place in Metro Detroit for years, my mom and I usually visit once a week. This season, their flurries, which are normally packed full of candy filling, have been awful.

1. They've been putting in half of the usual amount of candy.
2. They've been putting in 1/2 the amount of custard with the candy, mixing it up, then filling the top half of the flurry with plain vanilla ice cream, and not mixing it together. At first, I thought it was just a mistake. But out of the ~20 flurries I've had this season, maybe two have been fully mixed together. Additionally, they raised the price this season. Totally understandable IF you're going to keep providing the same quality product. I don't know about everyone else, but I don't want to eat through 1/2 a cup of plain custard just to get to what I actually...

First visit to Custard Time in 2020 was a big disappointment.  We got 2 large chocolate custards in sugar cones with cups.  The amount of custard we received today would have been what you got if you ordered a small in past years.  We ordered large custards, paid the cost of large custards, but were served small amounts of custard.   Also ordered a medium custard in a waffle cone.   The custard did not even come to the top of the waffle cone.   Been coming to Custard Time for years, and were never served undersized custard portions until today.   Maybe Custard Time has new owners, and they are chintzy.   Will visit again to see if this was a fluke.  But if this happens again, wont be back, and will be sure to put Custard...

Have you tried this place yet??? Oh why not!!! This place makes really good ice cream and have a lot of selections to choose from that are delicious. It’s so addicting. Every time I go, I meet someone new in the line and we get to talking about what ice cream to pick today. It’s a great atmosphere and everyone is so pleasant. The staff gets major brownie points. These ladies are so very nice and always smiling. So helpful if you haven’t decided and patient with you.
