If you are looking for truly delicious "old school" candy, the kind I grew up on as a little girl here in the city, look no further. I recently went to the store in Rookwood Pavilion a week before Easter. The section of opera creams, fruit nut eggs and (of course) hand made bunnys was amazing. I bought about 8 different varieties and my daughter's and I LOVED them! Today's mass produced chocolate has preservatives and stabilizers in them. This ruins the melt-in-your mouth goodness than fresh "no chemicals added " chocolate has. Fawns has none of that. It's worth a drive and the time to check this wonderful store out. We make a special trip from Kentucky just to visit Fawn Candy, and it’s so worth it. The candy is incredible (seriously, try the caramel-covered marshmallows), but what truly makes this place special is Angel. We’ve been in three times now, and somehow we’ve gotten lucky enough to catch her each time.
