I WILL GIVE ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE.
This was my third time there, I liked the food the first two times, I liked the food this time too but their service was very poor. It was a Sunday evening and we went there at 7.40PM. We were waiting at the entrance, to be seated and no one attended to us for 20 mins. We could see empty tables but we weren't asked to sit. There were two waiters who kept walking past and didn't even bother to make eye contact. There were two other parties waiting up behind us and and three more waiting for take away. Finally I got hold of one of the waiters and demanded a table for 3. We were seated and given the menu at 8PM but it was another 20mins to get an opportunity to talk to the waiter again. Meanwhile a party that was standing in line behind us got seated and their waiter took their order and served them drinks. Our when he came at 8.21PM didn't bother to ask us what we wanted to drink, just brought three glasses of water and asked if we were ready to order. At this point we just wanted food so we went ahead and ordered what we wanted, didn't want to talk to the waiter about the treatment we were receiving. The only good part of this visit was that food was served in 15mins, around 8.35PM and it did taste good. The waiter again was nowhere to be seen, to check if the food was okay and if we needed anything more or if he could get us our check. I had to call out at 9.15PM and ask for my check and move to the counter to pay and leave.
I had a very strong feeling that this was a racist discrimination by the restaurant servers towards me, I am from an Indian origin. The people who were waiting behind us in line and who got attended to earlier and who got food before we did were Asian. Or maybe the servers just thought that I would not tip them as much as the other parties. Whatever, I will never go to this place again and I will discourage all friends from going there. The food is good, but the service is the worst I have experienced anywhere.
P.S: I did not tip to show how I was ill treated and I would have like to give a negative tip for the service that...
Read moreDined in with my sister at 1:20 on a Wednesday. Walking in Nobody in the restaurant besides the workers. Based on other reviews I was expecting a lot worse as far as the atmosphere. Not dingy or uninviting and neither were the staff. It felt warm and very humble. Clean and well kept. No bugs or rodents as others have mentioned.
The menu prices online are not up to date but it is still very affordable and you’re not walking away with a pit in your stomach because of the cost. You can try several dishes for the same price as one at other places (at least for lunch menu. I’m assuming they have a separate dinner menu they put out later). I uploaded lunch menu photos. (7/15/25)
We ordered the pineapple fried rice (spice level 3) and the massaman curry with steamed rice (spice 8).
Food came out in a timely manner. I’m used to Thai curry being served in a bowl separately from the rice but it was served side by side on a plate. The portions were typical Thai portions. I’d say perfect for the average person definitely not a sharing size. As others have mentioned, their spice levels are very mild. The 3 spice was non existent and the 8 had a slight kick, a good choice.. I would’ve called it a 5 on an American scale. The pineapple fried rice tasted better the longer it sat. I think Thai leftovers are always better than fresh. I expected it to be more sweet. It was good. The curry was good, though I wish it had a little more depth of flavor. The steamed Rice that came with the curry, I’d say a bit overcooked.
I’ll be honest, Thai isn’t my favorite cuisine but Lemon grass was just as good as any other Thai restaurant I’ve been to. With these prices I’ll definitely be back and I’m excited...
Read moreI recently had a lunch meeting at Lemongrass with a friend and colleague. I have to say that I was fairly impressed with the place, the food, as well as the service and I had an overall pleasurable experience.
I really had no expectations other than the fact that I knew they served Thai cuisine. Upon arrival, the restaurant doesn't really look like much. It is an older building with no frills, just a simple awning with the Lemongrass name. As I entered I was greeted by one of three staff members eagerly waiting to greet and seat.
After sitting, I was greeted by my server and offered a glass of water without asking. I ordered the Royal Noodles with Shrimp and a Chicken Spring Roll. Our food came quickly and tasted fantastic. The service was very attentive and never overbearing. The check was appropriately delivered as we neared the completion of our plates.
I would highly recommend any fans of Thai or other Asian cuisines to visit this restaurant and try it for your self. I doubt you will be disappointed. Nothing fancy here, just...
