Donatos Pizza — Restaurant in Norwood

If I could give them zero stars I would. Waited 1.5 hours for our delivery order (1 hour past when they said it would be delivered) before finally driving to Donatos on Madison.

I was immediately “greeted” by the store manager who said that I was a delivery driver and demanded to see confirmation of my order.

There were at least 10 other people waiting in the store for their orders. The workers said that they “have a lot of orders” and I simply asked for mine.

Apparently, according to Donatos, it was somehow the customers fault that we weren’t getting our orders.

There was another dad there who said he had kids in the car waitikg for their food. He just wanted to know if his order was one of the 30+ orders sitting on the shelf or if he should go somewhere else for dinner.

The manager blamed this poor customer and somehow made him feel like it was his own fault for asking about his order he had placed.

No apologies. Nothing but accusations.

Worst customer service EVER.

They supposedly comp’d our meal (it hasnt been refunded yet) and when we got the pizza home it was burnt and clearly had been sitting for over an hour.

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible.

Terrible food.

Terrible service. Probably the worst service ever.

Terrible overall.

Donatos used to be our favorite pizza place but this location single handedly rounded it for us forever.

Complete garbage. Worst service ever.

The delivery driver on 3/1 for the night shift (11:00pm) decided to NOT deliver our pizza. To preface… we left a 20% tip over the phone when ordering the pizza. We paid AND tipped over the phone PRIOR to receiving the pizza. The delivery driver called twice. I will agree, we should have answered the call considering we were expecting a delivery, but we did not because of the amount of potential spam calls we get. After 2 missed calls our delivery driver decided to LEAVE for the night with OUR pizza? Are you serious? If we were tipping at the door I would understand, because they deserve our tip. But we PRE-TIPPED!!!! So instead of leaving the pizza (like DoorDash would) the driver just took our pizza and went home. When we called they told us that the delivery person already clocked out. Honestly it was so frustrating and I still can’t believe the driver decided to just go home with our pizza. We then had to wait for donatos to submit our order through DoorDash. It took 2-3 hours to get our SINGLE 1-TOPPING pizza.

I will say… once we FINALLY received our pizza, it was very good! Tasted fresh and overall yummy. They’d be getting a much better review if our original driver didn’t do...

We ordered two pizzas, one with a hand tossed crust, the other with a thin crust. Both were undercooked, especially the hand tossed crust. It literally looked like melted cheese when we pulled it apart. Unfortunately, it was the raw dough, not cheese. We called and they gave us a credit. Cool, they were going to take care of it. We called later to order two pizzas and used our credit, and let them know that our crusts hand been underdone. We ordered the same crusts - a hand tossed and a thin crust. We got them home and they were burnt - I mean charred and black!! We couldn't eat the outer 2-3" of the pizzas due to them being incinerated! I guess they have just two options for the cook on the pizzas - raw or burnt black?! There are plenty of other, better places to get pizza that know how to bake a crust, so we'll be choosing one of them...
