I’m a business owner too so this is from this perspective. To help this business. I came in on a promotion that said no sign up fee. Well that promotion ended the ‘day before’ and they would not budge on it. Bad on me to not walk out the door. Then they sign you up for a 2 year contract. I called to cancel and told me I had to come in to cancel. I said I’m not doing that and I want to cancel. They sent me to a collection agency that called multiple times a week. Just recently received a letter from a Law Firm for $977.02. On a side note - they have the filthiest windows that probably have not been cleaned in years. And machines that go out of service for months. Not saying to NOT give them business but ask for no sign up fees and no contract. Also there is a lot of pressure to sign up for Coaching - that costs extra. I’ll pay the bill cause they black mail you with a credit report. if I owned this business I’d call (me) and get this bill waved to do the right thing. Probably won’t get a call or a response to this review. Hopefully it will be helpful for those thinking about joining this gym.

10-16-23 Update.

I have been getting calls every other day from a collections agency. By the way I had a medical issue and could not work out. They seemed to not care and wanted their contractual money paid - and sent me to collections and had it negatively reported on my credit - 24 points. I'm an accountable person and pay my bills and carry no debt except my home. The people at this location are not to blame - it is there predadory coorporate ownership. BTW I was there for Karaoke last month and the windows are still filthy.

I even called and verified that per the credit laws once a cosumber request that you stop calling that by law you must. Their collection agency is still calling - breaking the law.

From the the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau...

You have the right to tell a debt collector to stop contacting you. If you ask a debt collector to stop all contact – regardless of the communications channel – the collector must stop.

They are still calling.

Been going to this gym for a year and a half. Honestly disappointed there were zero improvements in my time here. I'll give slight credit to cleaner bathrooms in new management but no new machines, treadmills and some machines broken for months. Rusty machines and plates. I even spoke with a regional manager after leaving a review and nothing had been done and no follow up. Seems like they're ok with taking money but not putting it into the gym. Kind of sad taking advantage of people that live in the area. I'll be canceling my membership next week. I gave this gym so many chances and it's been let down after let down. Manager seems to only be professional when regional managers or owners are watching other than that acts like she owns the gym whenever I've spoken with her. If you been to the Aiea or town location you know this gym isn't worth the money.

TLDR : It's sad this gym has so much potential but in the end is a let down. Save your money and sign up for KROC center only thing good about this gym is 24/7 even then quality isn't worth your money FYI 70$ a month for TWO YEARS.

STAY AWAY!!! So unprofessional!!

So I started going to this gym when I moved to Hawaii. It WAS perfect for me because I was living 5 minutes from the gym and would work out in the early morning before work. It’s a small gym and some machines need an SERIOUS upgrade but overall it’s okay. I had to move due to work and it’s been a challenge trying to get a hold of someone here. I’ve called multiple times with no answer their voicemails are full so you can’t leave one, I’ve emailed several times , again with no response. I need to move my membership to another state and replace my key but I can’t do that until someone here answers me BACK! It’s been super frustrating and really unprofessional for the owner of this gym to not even answer me back. They’ll take your money every two weeks, that happens like clockwork it’s not hard for them to do that!! My membership is under the name Polo. Maybe I can finally get a response from someone. But I won’t...
