I gave the two stars for the fish, and fish alone! Also for the guy who gave me his USB head charger even though Miss all body exposed where food is served acted like she did not know what a charger head was.

Now to the basics: -Steak was salty.

-Salad dressing on rice is not served anywhere in the world.

-Table was sticky like it's never been soap cleaned.

-Floor was sticky as well.

-Ate and left my plate on the table like ypu would in a standard restaurant. My bad, I am just a tourist who has never been to a place like Ono! Now, I took steps out but walked back in almost immediately to find the half naked lady and another younger looking female both looking at the table where I had just gotten up and left from. I had questions to ask about beauty stores, so after they answered my questions and gave me directions, I thanked them and pointed out to them that I saw they were looking at my left over plate at the table. I went on to tell them to put the sign up if they wanted customers to clean up after themselves. I also told them since I had never been to a restaurant where I am being asked to clean up after myself (except in open food courts) it would not only help me, but others.

-If you have table and chairs set up, it means customers can either dine in or take out. If customers do dine in, USE A FLAT PLATE, and have someone well dressed with good customer service etiquette wait on the tables!!! This ain't the desert where you dress half naked chew gum as a wait-rest! If you want customers to take out their plates, you should put up a sign and have a trash can in the store.

Finally, please clean your restaurant. It is filty! Someone mentioned in one of the reviews they saw rat in the store. I would not doubt them as rodents lick the sweetness off of the floor. So do ants and roaches.

Clean your STORE!!!

I am just a visitor who loves locally homemade foods (mom & pop kind of set up), and would love to eat that fish again. But, I have never seen filt in a restaurant like I did today.

Again, the fish was finger-licking good, but...

Extremely unorganized. I keep giving this place chances but today was my last time. This place is way too expensive to have this many problems and everytime I go there, its something else. Last time I did a to go meal and both orders were wrong and made the mistake of not looking until I got home. I ordered shrimp on both plates (which I was charged for) and no shrimp on either plates.

Today, I went with a group (in military uniform). First thing, drinks are supposed to be free for military. The cashier did not mention it and only said so after I inquired and then told me I was not eligible because when she asked if I wanted a drink I said medium. Why not tell military personnel that they get a free small beverage??

The group that I was with placed separate orders, ranging from ticket number 34 to 37. All of us got our food except for 34 (the first one to order). When we noticed they already reached #40 we inquired about the meal. THEY HAD FORGOTTEN 34. We only had an hour for lunch break. Even after we told them they had forgotten 34 they continued to make other orders that came after us. By the time they decided to make 34 we had 5 minutes to eat and leave. No discount offered for the inconvenience and once again no mention of the free beverage that is supposed to come with the meal. I understand it is a courtesy, but why offer at all if it's not consistent.

Food wasnt even worth it! WILL...

Went to purchase lunch here. Ordered a Steak and chicken plate, Steak and noodles plate, and small noodles. Cashier said order was ready, left and drove all the way back to Waianae to have lunch with family and when my husband opened his plate, his steak and noodle plate only had the rice and noodles. No steak to be found. We check through everthing and nope, there was no steak. Tried calling them to let them know but all day into the evening we called and they don't answer their phone. Called them again the next morning and after a few trys they finally answered. Spoke to a girl named Angel and explained what happened. She apologized and said we could come back and they would give us a new plate. I asked her if she needed a picture of the plate and she said no, just come with the receipt. I told her I would be sending my grandson and she said that was fine. Grandson went down there and then was told does he have a picture of the plate. He called me to have me send the picture and I told him, they said they didn't need it but ok fine. Sent the picture and he showed it to them and the girl apologized then made him a new plate. From what I heard this is not the first time this has happened. The food was good but not sure if we will be...

Ono steak and shrimp is in an unassuming location - a strip mall....but don't let that fool you. This food is first class! As you walk in, the tasty aroma of delicious meat greats you. Aaaahhhhh, there are few better ways a restaurant can make a first impression! My better half and I chose to get some take out to eat on the beach and enjoy the beautiful sunset. The sunset was beautiful but the food made our evening! We ordered a shrimp/noodle plate ($10) and a steak/fish plate ($14). The shrimp were fairly basic... Simple, but excellent! I actually wasn't a huge fan of the noodles, but my better half thought they were outstanding. We ordered the steak with LIGHT seasoning and it tasted perfect (I tend to like salty things, but had been warned that they tend to go very heavy on seasoning)...the steak was deliciously marinated and cooked just right! Finally, the star of the night was the fish! It was a huge piece of red snapper that was perfect! It tasted super fresh and made an otherwise good meal great!
