North Whidbey Help House — Local services in Oak Harbor

THE HELP 🏠 HOUSE Of Oak Harbor, WA. Gives low income and/or/ homeless persons with food when they can not afford to eat every day as they should.. These Caring Volunteers work to assist the community and it's people every day from 11am. Till closing that time I am not sure of.. However, I believe closing is approximately after 3 pm.or so.. .. ON THERE BEHALF THIS IS MY THOUGHTS ABOUT THIS GROUP OF DEDICATED PEOPLE THEY ARE GREAT !🥇 AS WELL AS KIND AND HAVE SERVED THIS ISLANDS COMMUNITY FOR MANY YEARS I FOR 1, AM VERY GRATEFUL FOR THERE SERVICES AND I MUST INCLUDE🥇 ALL THE OTHER ESTABLISHMENT'S THAT CONTRIBUTED THERE FOODS TO THE HELP HOUSE FOR DISTRIBUTION FOR THE SAKE OF OTHERS ABILITY TO HAVE SUSTENANCE TO KEEP THERE FAMILIES FEED AND HEALTHIER THROUGH THERE HARD TIMES👍 THANKS YOU I THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP IN THESE HARD TIMES!🦋🗝️🙏🌈🕊️.. The front desk lady was very kind and helpful. However, I’m 9 months pregnant, and when I asked for help to carry food out to my car, an employee gave me attitude and said, “Well, it doesn’t mean you're broken.” My due date is in 6 days, and I have a high-risk pregnancy. Reading through other reviews, I've noticed that this isn’t the first time they have given pregnant women a hard time asking for help. So, if you are pregnant and need assistance carrying stuff, I suggest going to another food bank or bringing someone who can help.

Not to mention, most people going to food banks struggle in one shape or another. My family and I have been struggling with homelessness for 7 months, and I'm about to have a baby. You would think people working for programs designed to help those in need would share...

I just want to add a note so I don't forget again. They take their lunch break at 12-1pm lol I always end up calling because I cant remember for the life of me.

Anyways, this help house is so great. It's been open since I can remember and it's location it's superb as it's next to the garage of blessings and the women's clinic is right around the corner. If you need a little extra help to get by, the NW Help House is amazing. I have really grow to love everyone there too!
