Bubba's Gift Shop — Local services in Oak Island

Very unfriendly owner man making the boba drinks. Bubble tea wasn’t even bubble tea, there’s no tapioca boba in the store, just popping boba. The milk tea has no flavor, just tastes like milk, and was room temperature. I asked if they would double the popping boba (I offered to pay extra for it) and they said no, just a flat out no with zero alternative solutions. I disagree with the first review! I have tasted the fudge they make there and it is excellent. They have a large selection of flavors and do a lot of business there both with candy as well as souvenirs and gifts. I go there every year when we come to Oak Island and while it is a bit crowded, their selection is fairly extensive for their store size and the quality is excellent on all I have purchased there. I enjoy my shopping trips...

If i could give -5 stars i would. Cant speak for the ice cream or staff because we walked in, waited a bit and noticed roaches (yes plural!) running up and down the icecream case. Not big roaches…the small german cockroaches. Definitely will not be giving this place a chance after that. I know you’re on the beach and bugs happen but multiple roaches in your icecream...
