Very furious, i have two complaints that need resolving.
1st complaint - why when lines are extremely long there is only 1 lane open but once help is called the other cashier/s wont turn their light on to notify other customers that they are open. When finally finished shopping we will come to the front and find 1 lane open and a long line with only one cashier/s light on and when asking the cashier without the light on if they are open they reply no. Once other customers come to the front they will get right in the line without the light on and service. Fix this please.
2nd complaint - why is it when the customer is finished paying for their product the cashiers pushes their cart far away from the customer and away from the direction we need to go, and then expect us to put the cart we have right next to them for convenience. This makes us feel disrespected, rushed, and highly upset about the treatment. We have our finished transaction and paid products pushed elsewhere and any person can take the cart and just go especially when we are waiting on our receipt or our transaction to be complete. This...
Read moreFirst time visiting this chain. I was shocked by the prices. I've eaten several of the Aldi brand stuff since I visited and the quality is great. I'm a fan. I don't like the checkout culture. Super fast line management is creating a new problem as the checkout person is slinging newly bought goods into a basket. Adding a bagger for support would help here because if you buy a lot of groceries you have to bag everything after it is tossed back in a basket. You might find you didn't buy enough bags. As a newcomer, making it apparent you need to buy bags and making them easier to find and labeling how much they cost would be helpful. I think self checkout destroys jobs but I'd prefer self checkout here. I do not want to deal with a cranky checkout girl. The cart thing was confusing as well but it seems like you need to pay to use a cart? I think my cart already had quarters in it or something like that. I was confused and I don't know what to expect the next time I visit but I know to...
Read moreI was grossly disappointed at Aldi. I went to 2 different ones hoping to see a difference. The one in Southfield on Greenfield Rd., was dismal. The offerings of everything were minimal. And there was a general feel of gloominess inside the store. I then headed over to the one in West Bloomfield, on Orchard Lake Rd. This is a newer one that usually has far better and far more merchandise. Not anymore. They had an advertising circular posted at the door showing summer furniture etc. that one could supposedly purchase inside. But when I got inside, none of those things were available. It was as bad as any other ghetto Aldi one would mistakenly patronize. Perhaps the pandemic has altered their supply chain or some other disaster has happened. The West Bloomfield store used to be really nice. I won't waste my time going in there again though, and I recommend that you...
