This USED to be an amazing deli. I moved out of the area but came to get a sandwich the other day as I now work in hospice home care. I happen to be in the area, so I stopped in to get a sandwich. I ended up getting two one for my patient and one for myself. I ordered a Rueben Not only was it cold Swiss cheese hadn't even gotten melted on it. I took the sandwiches with me to go to the house and didn't realize it until I got there. I called to let them and I was told if I wanted to speak with a manager I needed to call back later cuz it was the lunch hour rush. I didn't get a chance to call back later that day so I called What was two days after ordering. Upon calling I was asked "What do you want" , Not how can I help you, not thank you for calling, not anything that makes a reasonable greeting when calling a business.
When I finally got a manager they LAUGHED at me for telling them that that's how the phone was answered. I let them know I was calling to let them know how awful my experience was and told them I didn't want anything. She interrupted me and again LAUGHED at me saying we would never answer the phone like that then when I'm to tell me that if I wanted a new sandwich that I needed to bring in the old one and my receipt. She was obviously anticipating that I wanted something for free but instead of listening she interrupted. I let her know again that that's not why I called.
I'll never go back to this place $13 for Ruben a better be good and this was horrible. It USED to be AMAZING. You can get a better Ruben at so many other places. Don't waste your time or your money. Read moreWould have given a five for the food, but the experience was disappointing. We have been long term customers and I was shocked by the cook. He was not being nice to the two servers and was complaining about how awful all customers are, I spoke with a lady who I think is the owner and she tried to shrug it off. I explained it was rude, wrong and if my husband talked that way about customers in front of customers we would be talked to or fired. She didn't get it. So three for average of the five for food and 0 for experience. I went back again for a carry out and now give them a one. I was rushed to place my order, nobody waiting after me, I knew what we wanted but my husband's sandwich they asked if he wanted it grilled, never asked that before and I had to call him. She was impatient that I needed to get out my reading glasses to check what my sandwich had on it. Full menu was not available on.line or I would have known as soon as I walked in. I asked for cucumber to be substituted for green pepper as I always have done and was told no can't be done they could give me cucumber and I could build my own sandwich. We will never...
Read moreWhen I tell you the cashier was the rudest I have ever experienced. She was rude. Her attitude was pis poor. She even was talking to the other workers with an attitude. He may have been the owner. She was a black lady (ashamed to say) she was a Dark-skinned slim older woman in her late 40's or 50's with curly wig or weave pushed up to the side. She made rude comments and jokes pertaining to my order placed. Never smiled or greeted me or any other customer following. I say this to say if you are unhappy with your job and or life it's no one else's fault. By any means necessary do not mistreat people at your place of business. You make the company look bad I don't care how good the food is. Maybe companies need to invest in service excellence classes for their staff because it's ridiculous to want business and take people money when you can't even be kind and thank them for coming. Without customers you wouldn't be in business nor would your workers...
