if i could rate this place zero stars, I would. Their parking lot is a mess between the ā€œtrap you inā€ style drive thru and the potholes that could genuinely total your car. I know the horror stories of this place but thought an online order would cut down my wait time. My order was supposed to be ready at 7:45. I walked in the lobby at about 7:52 and was immediately put off by the amount of people in the lobby waiting to order and the amount of employees shuffling past pretending like they didnt hear the people knocking on the glass and yelling at them to get their attention. Within my OVER HOUR wait in the lobby I really had a chance to take it all in. The lack of cleanliness in the restaurant overall and the build up on the soda machines made me happy i was picking up a take out order and not dining in. Not a single employee that I could see was wearing gloves, but they were taking the time to take bites of food as it came out. The employees laughed at customers getting verbally agitated in their non-air conditioned lobby, while shuffling their feet genuinely moving so slow it was almost comical. People were coming in to also pick up online orders (doordash etc) and were being told their orders were already given out? (not in the time i was there unless it was in the drive thru) or that they just simply didnt have an order for them at all. Customers were waiting in the drive thru for over an hour before storming into the lobby, only to be ignored like the rest of us. After an hour, I ended up going up to the window and asking for my order again and the guy slowly walked away, checked a bunch of tickets that were laying on the counter on top of a single fried chicken breast, then came back and told me they were out of mac and cheese then quickly (the fastest ive seen anyone move in the place) walked away from the counter before i could respond. A woman finally went up to the window and the cashier assured her they did have mac and cheese? Eventually someone pointed to me and put food in the window. I got out to my car before double checking to see they had given me a box w a couple random wings in it instead of any biscuits. Went back in and was told i would have to wait 7 minutes for biscuits. I ended up walking out with my biscuits a little after 9 pm. Had i not ordered online and prepaid for my food, i definitely would not have waited that long for some mediocre food. Save your time and sanity and go literally...

If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. Popeyes chicken sandwiches have been raved about so I thought I’d give it a try, even though I heard negative things about this location....I should’ve listened. As a food service manager, I understand the difficulties and frustrations of helping the public under busy and stressful conditions. But this management was unlike anything I could’ve imagined. I got in line at about 6:10pm, being the right at the end of the drive through lane, they were busy. It took about 35 minutes to get 6 cars ahead of me taken care of. Never have I waited in line for anything for that long. I could’ve gotten the whole line taken care of myself, (doing the ordering, packaging, and payment) at half the speed they were serving at, but I figured they were having an off day so I waited and was patient. I got to the first window and it looked as if it was not in service. There was only a speaker. I waited there to be spoken to, no response... said ā€œhello,ā€ no response. I figured the reason for the slow service was because they were only using the second window for ordering, payment, and receiving food, so I pulled up to the second window. The young man at the window asked me if I ordered an order that wasn’t mine, so I said, ā€œno.ā€ He asked what I had and I said I hadn’t ordered yet because nobody answered me at the first window. He goes, ā€œOH MY GODDDDDDā€ and rolls his head back. Extremely unprofessional. He says I need to go around and REWAIT IN LINE. Any normal establishment would say, ā€œoh I’m so sorry I can take your order here insteadā€ and made it work, as the miscommunication was at their fault. I even offered to get out of my car and talk into the mic at the window behind me and the manager said no and that I needed to back in line. What a joke. Waited 35 minutes for a sandwich and wasn’t even served. Management need a MAJOR overhaul. It’s unfortunate.. they have the potential to be a great establishment if they have proper management and customer service. The demand, and quality of food is definitely there, and it’s a great location. Trashes were also...

Drive thru šŸš— time is terrible. I was there on July 21 at 8:15 pm. I waited in the drive thru line for 1 hour. When I finally made it to the speaker šŸ”Š NO ONE ACKNOWLEDGE, said just a minute, I'm sorry were short staffed or anything...while waiting at the speaker for another 10 minutes, I said hellooo and no one responded. I said helloo again and a male said just a minute. 5 minutes later the same male said may I help you. I then placed my order and was told to pull up to the window. When I arrived to thee window the same male explained the he was short staffed and that it was only himself and 1 other person working. I was told to pull up and my food would be prepared. I pulled up and parked, alongside 2 other cars that was also waiting. 2 young ladies, 1 with brown braids finally brought orders out to thee 2 cars after 9:30 pm. A male with braids finally brought my order out at 9:50 pm. I am very disappointed at this popeyes location. I've worked at restaurants and also know that a since of urgency is a must!!!!!! Including drive thru time. NEVER leave customers waiting without communicating and taking extremely long periods of time to cook 2 orders of chicken and fries. If I was thee GM, I would FIRE and replace the 2 young ladies there and I would also FIRE the male with braids that was running that shift. Terrible job and not to mention my orders were not hot. What did they have to do ? Catch the chicken, pluck ALL the feathers off, skin them, rinse, cut, batter then deep fry ? I know that I didn't have to wait the whole 1 hour and 35 minutes. Just wanted my food. Board up drive thru until the higher up managers can get the lobby together, meaning more employees that want to work.. I will never be back and will let everyone know to go to another location for faster...

This Popeyes on Greenfield is so bad that I travel from Southfield to the one on Utica Rd & Groesbeck IN ROSEVILLE than go to this location or the other one on Telegraph. Both are terrible but this one right here? This one is beyond awful. Covid-19 has absolutely no excuse as this location has been bad for far longer than that. I could blame the kids that work in there but when the management is much worse, it's hard to blame them. They make mistakes and will not fix it. You call to tell them they forgot items but they never answer the phone. Then the chicken is cold, fries are old, sandwiches not done right at all, packaged poorly and served with attitudes. All of this comes with a 35-45 min wait in line if you're lucky. I once waited in line an hour and 25 minutes because they were in no hurry at all then had to pull over and wait an additional 20 minutes because they have the car ahead of me MY ORDER. Keep in mind the inside is closed and has been closed since March 2020. Save yourself the headache and go to another location. They irritated me so bad that I had to pay this review on Christmas night for an order done terribly on the 23rd.

Went to this location specifically for a 2pc dark with no sides which was confirmed at the menu prior to moving to the window. At the window I was given a 2pc dark & biscuit. My card was charged $4.97. I will not be reimbursed for the biscuit & I didnt ask for it. The employee kept telling me that it was a deal & if he just rang up the chicken it would cost more. I told him, I didnt care, I want my receipt to reflect what I asked for so he got another employee (im assuming the manager) & the manager was telling me the same thing. I kept repeating myself about not caring about an upcharge but wanting what I ordered reflected on the receipt. He asked me to pull forward & 4min later came out with a receipt that said individual thigh & drum while saying that was the only way they could ring it up. On the receipt the total says $4.32, which is cheaper than the "deal" that I was given! I ate the drum in my car before leaving. Apparently, I saved the BREAST, NOT A THIGH, for when I got home! Thee WORST experience at Popeye's EVER!

I put in my first order ever at Popeyes on Greenfield. It was an online order to be picked up at 6:20 pm. I arrived on time and when I got there, the doors were locked so I sat in the drive thru that is surrounded by curbs so you can’t leave. Plus the property looks awful. It took over a half hour for them to service the three cars in front of me. When I finally got to the window, I was told by window employee, to pull up to the front door and wait again for my food. I told him that I will not move until I get my food. I’ve waited in this drive thru that you can’t get out of for a half hour. The employee went and got the food that was ready and yelled ā€œHERE.ā€ and slammed the window shut. I was finally able to leave at 6:55. I got it home only to find, they screwed up the order, I didn’t get my biscuits, and the food was cold. Bottom line: The place sucks! The employees suck! And this first experience with this establishment will also be my last. Here are the order and what I actually got.
