I ordered 3 items (sets) worth more than 13k in this store. They are supposed to be custom-made and they promised that it only will take 3-4 months to deliver. I chose mine to be the ones exactly like the display because I am afraid they will send very poor quality ones and totally different from the quality in the display. FYI, I read it from one other customer's review so i was bit wary. I waited more than 4 months and all my orders are not in yet. After more than 5 months, I got item # 1 and 2, but # 3 was not delivered yet. I ordered it July and got 2 items before new year.
I went to the store to follow up on item #3 and found that the exact display for item #1 was not there anymore. I have very strong reason to believe that they just touched up the display and gave it to us at the price of brand new!!! The item #1 that I got has some imperfections, which I only noticed after weeks of looking at it. I remembered seeing that imperfection on the displayed item from months back and I have pictures of it from the first time I visited the store.
Now upon another store visit to follow up on item 3, about 7 or so months after the initial order, I saw that they are just wrapping item #3 (chandelier) on display. It was on the same location as when I ordered it and it is there still hanging only this time it has wrappers on it!!! Now my suspicion that I got the display just went stronger now.
I asked the gentleman and he lied to me saying it was brand new that it just got there only a few days back and that it was still wrapped and ready to go to the customer who ordered it. To my mind, "Go where? To my home?"
I laughed at his claim that it is brand new and pointed out a chip. I photographed that item in its exact location a million times before to know it so well.
These people are a bunch of liars. So I canceled order #3 and they don't want it canceled even if they are the ones who reneged on their obligation to deliver it in 3-4 months.
Now the item #1 has some chips on the wood already just 2 months after delivery. I realize we are getting very soft wood like match sticks that is why they are easy to form and easy to be made to look good. The item does not feel sturdy at all. Lean your back a little hard and you hear some squeak. The foam where people should sit on looks distorted already only 2 months after delivery. And to think that there's only 3 of us in the house.
Their product is this - the quality is poor and not built for heavy use. They sure look nice at first but know they get worn out easily. In short don't you dare sit on it everyday. Their items must be for very light use only. In short you are getting a poor quality furniture that...
Read moreMy response on your response - First of all it is obvious that I want my privacy respected. Why did you write my name in your response? Are you st#@!d or id@@t? Now I am pissed.
The complaint was about YOUR VERY lousy low quality product! I even posted a picture so you know that I am the true buyer. People should not buy from you at all. Your HIGH-PRICED items lack quality and for attributes like toughness and durability, your good-looking items are worse than IKEA.
Your price is MUCH higher, definitely. People should just go to Gallery nearby just across the street from your new location. The set that you sold me is way cheaper in Gallery and delivery is not an issue! I can post pics of those with your price vs Gallery on the same item. In fact, people should just go to the World of Decor nearby for similar nice looking pieces with lower prices and no waiting delivery.
Your response made it about the delivery. The complaint is more so about the QUALITY. Customer feel being scammed. Your sales team with flowery words have no dignity at all, spewing lies just to sell, feeding your customer's ego just to sell those junk presented in nice looking form.
I know you are moving to new store when I put the order. I never expected you will use me as opportunity to clear out your old displayed items by selling me those at full brand new price and then blaming the typhoon as the reason why those display items were not there anymore when it is clear you just delivered them to me!
You have my number, email, etc. and you did not make effort to contact me!
Yes, we are still waiting for the chandelier that again I know you will just deliver the display item since I saw them damaged with chip hanging in the same exact spot but being wrapped as brand new.
The picture attached shows the old fabric damage at the back that must have been there before delivery. I only looked for "signs" when I saw that that item was gone in your display the moment I received mine. It was gone not because of typhoon. Orlando area had very slight typhoon damage - no floods and electricity was back right away. Pls don't blame the typhoon like your building was a...
Read moreI was looking forward to going to this store, hopeful I would fall in love with a sofa set and buy it that very same day - the location isn't great and gives the store a factory feel but I was told they are relocating to a better spot - and that wasn't going to be a deal breaker for me anyways. However, the deal breaker really was Giovanni - very pushy car salesmen that literally was begging us to make a purchase and kept dropping the price until we stepped foot outside of the store. It really turned us off.
He spent way too much time talking about other things than actually giving us uselful information about the pieces of furniture we were looking at, and the information he did give us was inaccurate. One set he claimed was made in Italy that later on they said is made in Indonesia but after getting the manufacturer name over the phone I googled and found the exact item was made in India.
When i first picked out 2/3 sets of sofas that I liked, I planned on going home and thinking about them, but as Giovanni repeatedly pushed for a sale and dropped the price- even asking me at one point what I would pay for one of the sets - it made me seriously question the quality and value of the furniture in that store. Is anything in there really made in France or Italy at all I wonder? Or is it made in china/India etc? I am not prejudice but i just want clarity over where something is made and of course that does make a difference as to the quality of the frame of the furniture as well as the fabric used in it.
If you plan on going to this store be prepared for the pushy sales approach, ask exactly what the manufacfurer name is of a piece you like and ask where it's made. And do your own research into it. To the store and it's owners- 1. Stop the pushy sales approach, it turns customers away and lowers the value of your merchandise, if a customer is going to make a purchase they will, pushing them persistently won't get you a sale, and 2. Tag all your items and have the manufacturer name and sku number - as do Havertys and Baers, for clarity...
