UPDATE TRIED AGAIN: This review pertains to a second stay in a different room on a different week at the same property. The in-room television did not work. It took approximately half of my total stay duration for the issue to be resolved. There were three open and unsecured WiFi networks for the property, none of which provided internet connectivity or displayed a login page. Mobile data reception in the room was extremely poor, making it necessary to go outside just to make phone calls, mainly to the front desk, as the in-room phone was also inoperative. There was no usable hot water available. I encountered LIVE cockroaches in the room which i killed all night since there was no working TV available.. This resulted in the contamination and loss of my food, totaling a cost of $23.43 that had to be thrown away. There was no trash can provided in the room. As a result, I had to pile most of my garbage in one spot. On the second day, I realized I had been assigned a non-smoking room despite requesting and confirming a smoking room three times: in my reservation email and with two separate staff members. I feel concern for the non-smoker who will be assigned this room after my stay. The bed was uncomfortably hard. The pillows were puffy but firm, leading to neck pain.
My recent stay at the hotel was disappointing and unsafe, marking one of my most frustrating experiences. Although I am not a demanding guest and acknowledge the trade-offs that come with budget accommodations, this stay failed to meet even the most basic standards of cleanliness, safety, and comfort.Upon arrival, the check-in process went smoothly, but the positive aspects ended there. It was evident that the room was not properly prepared. Despite a maintenance worker having to replace the air conditioner, the cleanliness of the room was subpar. Dead roaches were visible on the floor and window sills, with one even discovered crushed in the bedsheets. After taking a shower and putting on new socks, they quickly turned black on the bottom, indicating a lack of sweeping or mopping.Security was a significant concern for me. The door latch did not properly engage with the strike plate, resulting in a loose and insecurely locked door. It appeared as though someone had attempted to break in previously, leaving me feeling unsafe and prompting me to maintain vigilance while sleeping. The room presented several maintenance issues that should have been rectified before my stay, or anyone else's for that matter. The exhaust fan emitted a buzzing sound and sparks, causing me to avoid using it altogether. The toilet flapper was dysfunctional, necessitating manual resetting after each flush. Additionally, the bathroom baseboard was deteriorating, the TV remote lacked a battery cover, and both the TV and remote lacked a button to switch to HDMI, rendering it impossible to use personal devices without additional equipment. The noise level was incessant and overwhelming, as the motel was situated adjacent to a trucking company. Throughout the night and day, I was bombarded with the sounds of air brakes, horns, and numerous refrigeration trailers running, making it nearly impossible to get a restful sleep. While a few amenities such as hot water and a new air conditioner functioned properly, they were overshadowed by the prominent deficiencies in cleanliness, safety, and maintenance. Basic amenities were also overlooked, as there was no complimentary shampoo or ashtray in my smoking room. Nevertheless, I did appreciate the softness of the new pillows and bed.In conclusion, this motel does not offer a safe, comfortable, or clean environment. It suffers from poor maintenance, a severe pest infestation, and significant security vulnerabilities. I would caution others against choosing this establishment. In the event of a response from the owner, I do not seek a perfunctory apology but rather a reduction in price if I were to contemplate...
Read moreWhere do I start wow. I drove from Miami 4 hours at night and got there at 12am Place was closed. I was told to speak with the guard when I got there that he will have our keys or to use the call box and someone will help us . There was no one at the office and no one would answer the phone . I looked around and found the security sleeping in his car. ( Patrick ) He told me they did not give him any key to wait till 7am to speak with someone in the office. I explained I just traveled four hours at night and I needed to rest. I thought he was trying to help me but when I went back. he was watching a movie on his phone. So My family and I left for another hotel. The next morning I spoke with Mia at the front desk. She was very rude . She explained I would be credited one day but she would not be able to refund the next day . I explained that I had to Rent somewhere else. She kept saying no refund and our friend's reservation was canceled completely last night and she could not explain why my friend's reservation was canceled. I was charged two day and till now I have not been refunded. We were able to cancel the other hotel and sign up there again . We got the keys for two rooms (305-309) and left. We got back at 11:30 pm again and no one was available to answer the phone. The rooms were infested with Cockroaches and smelled very bad. They were dirty and Smells of smoke, stains on the bed skirt, bathroom door did not close It could not get any worse. I went to see my friend's room. It was the worst. The roaches were everywhere. I saw the same trash and beer bottles that I had seen in the stairs from the morning . I was never picked up. We ran out to the guard and told him what we saw. He stated this is normal, and that's why a lot of people left. We gave him the keys and left to rent somewhere else. (Hilton ) The next day we spoke with KORINE, also rude. Also Did not care about his client's safety and kept talking to clients with a mask below his mouth. He stated he understands but they don't give out refunds. I explained and showed him the video and pictures he did not care about. I recorded him all he kept saying is to call the manager in the morning. I requested he call him at that time because this is not normal. He stated no I told him I will file a formal complaint with the health dept. he did not care. There was a guy complaining that his room had a water leak on the wall and had mold. spoke with the main manager in the morning, Jonetta Tupin. She did not care to hear me out. she stated she was busy and to give her 48 hour to see what she would do. (VERY DUDE) PLEASE INSPECT THIS HOTEL IT'S A HIGHLY RISKY HEALTH ISSUE. I AM SENDING THIS EMAIL TO ALL TO SEE EVEN THE HOTEL MANAGER TO SEE IF SHE CAN START GETTING THIS ISSUE RESOLVE NOT FOR MY HEALTH BUT FOR EVERYONE WHO GOES THERE. THIS IS HOW BUSINESS GO OUT OF BUSINESS BECAUSE OF PEOPLE THAT DON'T CARE FOR THE...
Read moreThe “ Assistant Manager” Thomas (if his real name) has to much power. I simply asked why I was charged an extra 100 dollars midway through my monthly stay, all he kept saying I wasn’t charged, when clearly on the receipt he gave me it states I was charged. My bank statement showed I was charged as well. His way to resolve this was by me not being able to renew my month and being trespassed off the property. I never yelled or acted belligerent, he just told the officer that I spoke loud, which is just the way my voice carries. Thomas told me he has been in the hospitality business since he was 13. (23 years total) 23 years experience to become the assistant manager at a cockroach and garbage infested hotel, you would think he’d have thicker skin, and be able to handle a simple mistake that he admitted the lady that took my reservation made. Amazing how much Power this dude has, and to act on it the way he did after admitting one of his employees made a mistake, and to think I gave this same place a good rating after staying a weekend last September when I came into town!! Which I just deleted!! Room was not clean when I moved in, No internet all month, ac was out 3 days. Smoke detector beeped for 2 days until it stopped on its own. This same dude on day 1 told me the internet was not their issue and it was being fixed, I also told him the bathroom fan not operating day 1, it never was looked at either. (This causes mold) during the 2nd week my ac went out and I told ole Thomas about it, and I guess he didn’t turn it in to the maintenance department, because it wasn’t repaired until I went back to office on day 4. Honestly the Maintenance guys seem to work their tails off. I have stayed at several hotels for work and I have to say this is the worst place I have stayed by far! Oh, and I still haven’t got my deposit back even after I swept and mopped before I left as I had to do when I moved in!! Life Lesson…Because you had a lemonade stand at the age of 13 doesn’t mean you’ve been in the hospitality business since then!! Just beware!! I was lucky enough to have a truck and bins to put my stuff in and be out within 2 hours, if not I would have had to carry my belongings to the street. I wish I’d have just trusted my gut and not experienced Your Nightmare when I was told I couldn’t back into my parking spot so the Police can read the tag when they pull through.(why have a parking pass on your mirror if the security doesn’t look at the front of vehicle when parked by fence)
To the Red Roof Management RediResponse Specialist, why have y'all not done anything about the issues all of these people have complained about. Especially this Thomas Character, just read the reviews, his name comes up in other reviews other than mine. As a business owner, that dude would be the last person I would want representing my company. Please refund...
