Sakura Ramen (Oakland Park) — Restaurant in Oakland Park

Ordered here from Uber Eats last night and was really disappointed. First, I didn't get my bubble tea, not sure if that's the restaurant's fault or the delivery person, but in my experience this usually happens if the pickup station doesn't make it clear when drinks are included in an order.

Pot stickers were fine.

Tonkotsu ramen was really disappointing. Broth was thin and not that flavorful, missing the almost creamy texture you get with good tonkotsu broth. Egg wasn't marinated very well and was overcooked, instead of a jammy yolk I just got a chalky hard-boiled egg in my soup. Pork was thick and not cooked very well, thick slices like that should be seared on all sides to render some of the fat. Biting into a huge chunk of lukewarm unrendered pork fat is not pleasant. On the upside, I did appreciate the amount of scallions/veggies and the fishcake was fine.

Plenty of local places like Phat Boy or PokeRamen do a much better job, so I won't be ordering...

Sakura Ramen (Oakland Park) is an absolute gem — the kind of place that doesn’t just feed you, it enchants you. I came in hungry and left feeling like I’d just starred in a culinary fairytale. The Tonkotsu Ramen was rich, soulful, and deeply satisfying — every element from the silky noodles to the jammy egg was perfection.

But the real showstopper? Bella. Her service was flawless. Warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food, she made us feel like VIPs from start to finish. It’s rare to meet someone who elevates a meal into an experience, but Bella did just that.

Slipped in Saturday night just before the dinner rush and scored a table quickly. Service was fast and friendly, apps out in under 10 minutes after we sat. Edamame was plain, thanks to sriracha I added to give it some ummf, but the steamed veggie pot stickers hit the spot.

My wife loved her Tonkotsu Ramen with perfectly cooked pork, and my Sakura Spicy Ramen with chicken, extra egg, and I added extra heat was exactly what I wanted. Our solo server crushed it, checking in often despite a packed house.

Finished with Thai donuts, crispy, fluffy, and just what we needed to end our meal. Great new ramen spot in the neighborhood....
