Worst experience and manager experirnce after informing him about what I was served. Being the kind of establishment it is, they know better to give a customer straight bones as chicken. Every single one of these I have gone to has rude personnel. They look like they are miserable but have gull to be in a field trying to give customer service. Already was an emotional day, walked two miles already, and regret spending money to be tried. I tried to show the manager what I was given and his manager skills were lacking. He asked did I say eomething as it was served. I told him the lady attitude made me reluctant. Also, the smsll open layout made any addressing of the matter all patrons business and it was embarrassing. Manager should have led me to the side, then ask who made you feel uncomfortable. Instead like a messy male, he asked in front of the already smirking, under breath talking rude cashier and server who knew what she did. Women already at this location already had Stoosh, bad attitudes so they did not give off welcoming demeanors for me to address them about the bones given. I was put on the spot in front of the main women who know they were being dismissive. I will stick to going to Jamaica House near 441 and 199th St, I love the nice cashier there and they offer smaller plates for those like me who do not eat all the fattening food at once. This day I walked from US 1 to this spot and regret I chose there to stop before walking to 7 11 on Powerline. I explained I was walking and wanted a small meal so not to waste but after being treated rude and no eye contact from cashier with stank attitude, I wanted to just cry because already going through it. Been a long time made to feel less than while spending money for something to point I could not eat the food. Already tasted like they put sugar in their food, was not told I get a drink with special, asked for straw told they do not have and saw Indian guy treated better and given chicken with meat on it. Saw a white patron picking up an order be served in midst of another black patron who had been in line first to pay be addressed until guy skipped made a commotion. All around worst experience and the manager acted messy. Even as I brought plate to show, the two who were rude snickered with another girl like a scene from Mean Girls all in my face. Those from the islands who know the stereotype issues can get what I am saying happened. Always rude characters and sadly thinking I would feel better for finally saying something about the Brown Stew Bones Chicken (3 small spine and hind areas that has least meat) given. Giving a second plate was a waste because I was made to feel small on a day already dealing with trigger of deceased baby girl. Had to call my friend Case to support because I really wanted to slap the server and throw the plate at them(I still stayed polite but really insde infuriated). I was polite and just wanted something I could finish without wasting. Was not familiar with menu and none of staff were readily offering information seeing I was looking. Thought by now customer service would improve yet, owners still hire their friends, boo things or family who carry an aire of being untouchable. I would rather nice staff over cronism that will cost business.Even after asking, the response was tight lipped like they did not want to be there. The five stars must love the sugar they put in sweet plates. Plus, home cooked Jamaican food is better. A few replicate that taste. The Jamaica House is closest to home cooked. Never dealing with this...
Read moreI've been a regular at this restaurant for a while, getting takeout almost twice a week. Sometimes my service dog accompanies me, and sometimes he doesn't. Despite clearly having his service dog vest on, the staff always ask for his ID. This is not only frustrating but also illegal - I'm not required to show ID for my service animal.
Today's experience was even worse. When I explained that my dog is a service animal and I have every right to have him with me, the staff didn't care. They failed to address the issue directly, instead opting to hide in the kitchen when I began filming the encounter. It was clear they knew they were in the wrong but didn't want to own up to their mistake.
While the food at this restaurant is good, the lack of understanding and respect for service animal laws is deeply disappointing. As a regular customer, it's disheartening to feel my rights and dignity aren't valued. Businesses need to do better by their customers with service animals. Until this establishment improves their staff training and respect for service animal laws, I can't...
Read moreI can't rate the food because I never received it. I ordered my food online. After waiting awhile, I received a text from Seamless that my order was delayed. Shortly thereafter, I received another text from Seamless that something had gone wrong and my order had been canceled. I wanted to know how an order that was simply delayed ended up being canceled. I called Seamless and was informed the restaurant had not provided any information to them. I was told that Golden Krust went against policy because they should have provided and explanation to Seamless so the the explanation could be passed on to the customer. This is not the first time this has happened to me, but it is the last. I am done! These experiences are a reflection of bad management, and poor leadership that does not hold management accountable. Still no word of apology from Golden Krust, and it will just be one of those unanswered questions as to why they canceledy order and didn't have the common decency to inform Seamless as to why my order...
