Vaella Coffee & Tea — Restaurant in Oakland Park

I am totally excited to have found this place! It's a GEM! It just feels soooo good from the moment you walk in! The sweet and charming owners (Val & Ella) are always eager to help and to explain what any of their wonderful creations are. And their creations are indeed fantastic! They put their Argentinian imprint on all of their delicious foods and you will be wonderfully surprised at how something you have likely had before tastes even better with that distinct Argentinian flare. I have tried and loved their croissants, chicken caesar wrap, brownie, empanada (several varieties), banana muffin, and cookies. I still have not tried everything but I'm on a mission to do so. The coffee is exceptional and the space is as delightfully inviting as it is tastefully decorated. I am impressed with the simple little accents that demonstrate an extra measure of care and love In both the decor AND the food. You can sit and eat/drink there or take out whatever you like. I go often after the gym or when shopping in the Northridge Center where they are located. The appeal of Vaella will quickly become apparent once you try it...and try...

Vaella Coffee and Tea is hands down one of the best coffee spots I’ve ever visited. The coffee is absolutely fantastic—rich, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. It truly feels like you’re drinking real coffee from a real cup, which is surprisingly rare these days!

I was also blown away by their breakfast pastry empanada—so fresh it literally melts in your mouth. The chocolate croissant was without a doubt the best I’ve ever had: perfectly flaky, warm, and filled with just the right amount of chocolate. And the pistachio cookies? Simply outstanding. Each bite was a burst of flavor and quality.

But what truly set this experience apart was the surprise and pleasure of seeing people who genuinely care—about their food, their space, and their customers. The place is immaculate, and we received absolutely incredible service. It’s so refreshing to walk into a spot where everything is done with love and intention.

This place is a little hidden gem of a coffee shop! We like to try different coffee shops every time we travel, and this is one we will definitely be visiting again.

Food and beverage: Excellent all around. We got an iced lattes with caramel and a hot lattes with vanilla. Both came out amazing! Coffee wasn't too strong or too sweet. A perfect balance. We also tried a cinnamon muffin and an almond croissant. They were perfection! I'm currently drooling just thinking about that almond croissant.

Service: The 2 ladies working that day were very nice. They took our order quickly and answered any questions we had. Drinks and food came out fast.

Atmosphere: The space was very well decorated and clean. We only stated long enough to enjoy our food, but I could see it being an excellent place to get some work done.
