I have been in several times before including the grand opening. Beautuful store. I've bought a number of smaller items in the past. They carry a particular candle fragrance that I havent seen anywhere else that I always purchase. I needed the candle replaced so I went over today. For some reason I'm on oakland but I forgot exactly where they were. I passed them so I called the girl working there. I asked if thof andrews she said I think so. . She kept saying across from Lips. I asked if she was east of dixie she said she did not know because she was not from the area! I finally figured it out and I arrived. I'm assuming the girl that did not know where she was located was at the register playing w her phone never looked up never said hello and continued playing w her phone. I was the only customer in the store!! I walked the entire store left to right walked right past her at the register.still the only customer. Still nothing. I knew the candle I wanted was ussually in the back right corner. Made my way back there found what I wanted. Still no acknowledgment from her still looking down at her phone. I hesitated love this candle dont know if i can find it somewhere else but I put the candle down . And walked past her again and went to the front door. I thought if she finally said something I would walk back and get the candle !!! Nothing ..walked out empty handed. Tired of no customer service even in a gorgeous store like that!!!! Wish I had a job where I could play on my phone all Day!!!! Now i have to find this candle elsewhere!!...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs a history lover I am in love with this store. Walking through it is kind of like visiting a museum except you can buy anything. This is the description of the store from their website "The past is prologue. Our shop is a cabinet of curiosities that we've filled with exquisitely crafted, hand selected pieces from our travels all over the world. We love our antiques with a touch of "chic" for that unmistakable spark of personality that livens up any room." The store is filled with amazing one of a kind vintage, antique, and carefully curated pieces to add that special touch to your home.
Prices range from the inexpensive end for new candles and coffee mugs to thousands of dollars. They have a selection of antique gas pumps that took me down memory lane. My father in law collected them too and there is still many left in his garage from when he passed away. The showroom is set up in little rooms so you can get an idea of how to put things together in your own home. The sells signs, furniture, old equipment, antique vending machines, jukeboxes, rugs, mirrors, scales, and so much more. From knick- knacks to large scale pieces you are going to want to look at it all. When I finally move into that mansion, the Vespa's repurposed into bars is top on my list. A Yelp check in will net you 10 percent off! It was so much fun to explore this store and take a blast...
