PREGAME BEFORE YOU COME !! Love coming here ! Love the different varieties of music nights, security is always kind but stern which is awesome cause you always feel safe ! Some nights are PACKED while others not so much but I like to believe life is what you make it ! Gave a 4 instead of a 5 because they tend to false advertise on instagram about the first hour of drinks being $7. This has happened to me and my friends more than once at the bar. When you let the bartender know they typically say “no drinks are just $2 off” then I typically say “ well you guys posted that for the first hour drinks are $7 and $8” they then will ask you to show them which we do EVERY DAMN TIME and they just seem annoyed and say “well I can’t just change the price in the system” you can talk to a manager” which is like noo i don’t want to speak to a manager for such a minor issue I want you guys to stop advertising something that you will never truly offer. Plus having an attitude with me because YOUR JOB keeps false advertising is crazyyy. Def the kind of place you just pregame for and skip the bar unless the awesome girly with braids is bartender, or the white bald man, sorry idk their names but they are super kind and can make tf...

I originally left a 1-star review for this place because the person working coat check lost my jacket and I was forcibly removed from the venue for getting upset. Granted this was after they closed so I do understand, but I had no faith that this would be made right.

However, I'm coming back to leave this 5-star review after the co-owner just responded to my email and paid me back the money I was owed for the value of my jacket. I had a great time before this occurred that night and it left a sour taste in my mouth, but really I appreciate how they went out of their way to make this right for me which is very rare for bars / clubs / etc.

I also want to publicly apologize for how I spoke to security that night. Although in the moment I did not believe I was being treated fairly, I do understand that they were just trying to...

After coming to Crybaby opening weekend for Dām Funk, I had to come back to see if it was really as good as it seemed that first night, and it hasn't disappointed. The sound system is crazy and you can tell the focus of the venue is on the music and the experience, not a lot of distractions or gimmicks. Every time I've gone the crowd is super diverse, positive, and overall it's an incredible vibe. It opened at the perfect time after a couple years of the pandemic, and it embodies everything that makes me appreciate Oakland.
