Ok so I love tamales but I'm spoiled by traditional and fancy chefs. So for me to say this is really good means something. I have to say without any debate that Rocky's has the best deal in town for $2.99 tamale (chicken, pork or cheese) I tried the chicken with the works (creama pico, cilantro and salsa red or green) it was stuffed with pulled chicken and the masa was actually flavorful (something a lot of tamale makers miss. I'm definitely planning to try the others. Update: I have tried the other two flavors of tamales Rocky has, green chili n cheese and the pork. OMG where has this guy been all my life. The cheese tamale literally has a big chunk of cheddar cheese more so than any place else and the pork is stuffed with meat, has two olives and uses the pork juices to flavor the masa.
