We had to get a new TV the week of Thanksgiving. It was shipped to us and we could not get it working. It was the same brand that we had before, so we thougt we could get it set up again without any real difficulties. We found it was easy the first time. Unfortunately, the new TV was damaged in shipping which we did not realize. Coast Communications was slammed with big jobs, but they were so kind and thoughtful when I called the day before Thanksgiving and explained the situation. The technician was there with a smile on his face, even though we knew he had put in a very long day. He stayed with us 30 minutes trying to get it set up so we could use the Coast Communications remote. He could not get it to work. It went through the set up proces and stalled on the final step. No matter what we tried, it was not working. He turned to us with a sad face and told uus we needed to return the TV. So, the night before Thanksgiving, we did just that and bought a different brand. We called that evening before Coast Communications closed for the long weekend and made an appointment to have the technician come on the following Monday to set it up. Again, all smiles and so kind and patient. As a senior couple, the new technology on our Smart TV was quite confusing. We had it unpacked and ready for him and within 10 minutes we were watching our brand new TV. However, the following day, we could not get our DVD player to work. Again, we had to call and the same technician came out the following morning to walk us through the process. It took about 5 minutes of hs time and he made sure we were comfortable with the process before he smiled and said good-bye.
Customer service is a top priority for Coast Communications. No matter the situation, they have gone out of our way to help us. They do the necessary research to make sure that all our questions are answered promptly and respectfully. They are a great local company in Ocean Shores that we are so proud to have as our cable provider. We have been with them for over 17 years now and we will always be a loyal customer. Read moreVERY disappointing! Painfully slow, crashes often. Evening hours are the worst as the internet bottlenecks as everyone forced to use Coast on the peninsula is online at the same time.
The worst part is that this is a Monopoly! You are forced to use Coast or have nothing at all as they have the whole of Ocean Shores locked down and blocks competition.
Finally, their packages have limited data usage. As if we are on a cell phone plan, we have limited data or receive significant charges for overages. This is an archaic practice as many companies provide unlimited data for all users. Comcast and CenturyLink DSL for examples.
Even though I am very disappointed and limited with Coast's services, Kim is an awesome customer service person! Ask for her if you want help!

Read moreThis company is the worst. When we first started with them we had extremely poor reception for both TV and Internet. They sent out a technician to take care of the problem. He spent half of the day doing what I don't know, he surely didn't know. He came back to our door late in the afternoon and said he thought he might have figured our problem out, stating he replace the cable to the apartment complex. He sure did, it was run on the ground across the sidewalk and through the flower beds and hooked up to the complex.He never checked to see if it helped but said to let the office know if we had any more issues. Sure did! Nothing was fixed, but we had a new cable strewn all over with rocks laying on it to keep it down. I called the next day and the woman on the phone sounded perturbed when I told her nothing had changed, but we now had a cable running across the ground for anyone or anything to trip over. She told me that the technician told her it was fixed and an above ground line was okay. Need I say more. it finally got fixed, and I say that lightly because their service sucks still but nothing we can do but pay over One hundred a month for slow internet connection's and poor...
