Where do I even begin?

Planning a wedding is supposed to be one of the happiest times in your life - but for me, it started out with heartbreak. My original dress came in with the completely wrong cup size, and to make matters worse, the alterations place I went to charged me $1,200 for work that was not only unfinished but done so poorly it was devastating. I felt defeated, disappointed, and honestly, just so let down. Eventually, I was able to trade my dress in for a new one - but by then, I only had six weeks until my wedding day.

That’s when I found Roxie.

From the moment I met her, something felt different. I shared my story with her - how I felt like I had been taken advantage of, how much money I’d lost, and how crushed I was - and she cried with me. That moment will forever stay with me. Roxie is an absolute gem! She was recommended to me by the boutique where I found my gown. I made an appointment, during which she explained that she advises all brides to search around for the right tailor with whom they feel the MOST comfortable, and had names of tailors in the area which she trusts. Everyone will have a different eye with which they will advise their recommended improvements, alterations, etc. But after about 20 minutes, I just didn’t want to see anyone else. Why would I seek out someone else when I so easily made a friend who I trusted with my (not cheap) gown to do what I feel was her absolute best because she just thrives on a happy bride and nothing short of perfection. And she pulled through! With every visit and all of the hours of work she put in, my gown became more and more MY gown, fitted exactly to me, and what an incredible feeling that was! She even helped me decide on buy jewelry for the day! :D She added buttons down the back of the gown, making it more elegant. She moved the straps on the back, making it more modern and flattering. And to top it off, she made the most beautiful bustle! Throughout all of our appointments, she was just so easy to chat with and my initial instinct was right - I really did make a friend! A friend recommended Roxie to me, after one phone conversation, I was sold!! We met with my dress and I was immediately impressed by Roxie's attention to detail and knowledge, not to mention that she might possibly be the sweetest person alive!! I lived over 2 hours away and I knew choosing Roxie would mean countless hours of driving, yet I didn't hesitate to say yes! I thought I was that lucky girl that had found a dress that would only need a little nip and tuck, boy was I wrong! I had found a gown that was so well made that it didn't have side seams, which meant Roxie had to take down the beading and the lace of my gown to alter it. When you try on a gown with the giant clips tucking it in, it's hard to imagine what it will really look like when it fits you. Roxie exceeded my expectations, my gown was perfect, fitting me like a glove. She made changes to my gown to make sure it was comfortable and fit my body in every way!
