I ordered my baby rat snake from Imperial Reptiles and the whole process was amazing. As a new snake owner, I asked lots of questions before purchase, during shipment, and after receiving my snake and they were all answered swiftly and to the best of Imperial Reptiles’ ability. I have had my snake for almost 3 weeks now and she has eaten great, had a perfect shed, and has been a pleasure to handle once she finally got settled in. When I first got her, I was super worried about some swelling on her mouth, but through emails, Imperial Reptiles assured me she was fine and just had been rubbing in her deli cup during shipping. This swelling was something I was not familiar with and when I looked it up everyone said it was mouth rot, so the fact that Imperial Reptiles could give me some piece of mind, and, of course, didn’t send me a sick snake, was amazing. As far as shipping, I was able to pick a shipment date up to 7 days ahead, which I did, and even got a 10% discount off my whole purchase for signing up for their newsletter. I had wanted to have my new snake shipped directly to where I lived, but they informed me that the temperature en route was too hot to comfortably/safely ship the snake to my house and gave me the option the pick her up at the nearest hub or to still have her delivered to my house, just without the live arrival guarantee. I, of course, didn’t want to risk it and had her delivered to the nearest Fed Ex Hub (which is not just any Fed Ex store) where even though the workers were scared lol, they handled my shipment with care. Inside the package was my cute little snake in her labeled deli cup surrounded by lots of paper and styrofoam that kept her from sliding all over the place. Not as important, but a nice touch, I also got some cute stickers, I think a coupon, and the outside of the box was really cute. It had the Imperial Reptiles’ symbol on it and clear indicators that there was a live animal in the box. The shipping took place in literally less than 24 hours and I was able to track her in real time on the SHOP app, and ask questions which, again, Imperial Reptiles answered very fast. Going on another little tangent, I don’t know if my snake was handled often before being shipped, but she is extremely sweet and has only tried to strike at me once, which, like I said, I’m a new snake owner and it was my fault for scaring her. Otherwise she has not been at all aggressive or “mean”. I know snake aggression is largely a product of the species and individual personality of the snake, but that being said, I’d like to believe Imperial Reptiles sent me a sweet snake because she had been well taken care of overall and has less of a reason to be aggressive/scared in the first place. In all honestly, I don’t think I was the easiest customer for Imperial Reptiles, but they handled everything with grace. From my research, people always say to buy from a breeder instead of a store, however, a breeder I had contacted for the same type of snake was not nearly as helpful or friendly as Imperial Reptiles and at one point became a little bit hostile when I asked them the same questions I asked Imperial Reptiles and had gotten an answer. Buying from Imperial Reptiles is in no way like buying from Petco or PetSmart. From my own experience and the plenty of reviews I read before buying from them, they actually care about the well-being of the animals they sell and have pretty amazing communication. In conclusion, I can’t speak for everyone, but I definitely would buy from Imperial Reptiles again in the future and am so grateful I went with them for my...
Read moreI’ve been visiting reptile specialty shops since I was a kid, and I can say without hesitation that Imperial Reptiles delivers the best customer experience I’ve ever had. From the moment I walked in, the welcome was warm and genuine. Alex, the owner, didn’t just greet me from behind the counter, he came out, shook my hand, and truly listened to what brought me in. That kind of sincerity is rare, and it set the tone for the entire visit.
Alex introduced me to Ty, and I have to say, Ty is one of the most pleasant, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested associates I’ve ever dealt with, across any industry, not just reptiles. I originally planned to just browse, but the level of care and customer service I received made it an easy decision to move forward with my purchase and support this shop wholeheartedly.
Later that evening, I returned with my wife and daughter so they could be part of the process of choosing an African Fat Tail gecko. Xavier helped us that time, and he was just as outstanding. He patiently showed us multiple geckos while staying upbeat, informative, and enthusiastic. Since he owns one himself, he even shared personal tips and anecdotes that helped us prepare in ways we hadn’t thought of. When Ty noticed us back in the store, he took the time to greet my family as well, which meant a lot.
What impressed me most was the staff’s investment in our experience. They stayed late to make sure we had everything we needed, and they even allowed us a few days to set up our bioactive terrarium before we picked up our gecko. That level of commitment to both their animals and their customers is almost unheard of in today’s market.
Imperial Reptiles is truly the shining exception to the decline of customer service that’s become so common in other businesses. Between their incredible staff, wide animal selection, and genuine care for customer satisfaction, I’ll be returning again and again. This African Fat Tail is just the beginning, I plan to build an entire reptile room, and Imperial Reptiles will be my go-to for every step of the journey (Amazon Basin Emerald Tree Boa, Panther Chameleon, Dart Frogs, and an Indonesian Blue Tongue Skink are already on my list).
If you’re looking for a shop that combines expertise, compassion, and an authentic passion for reptiles, look no further than Imperial Reptiles. They’ve earned a...
Read moreI haven't ordered anything from this store yet because I'm afraid of getting screwed. So I've been searching all over the place looking at different sources and pet sites that sell baby redtail boa's. I came across this business and looked at their website and pets for sale. I was glad to find out the store was in Orlando not to far from my second home. I live in Connecticut which is in New England and I figured I would just call and leave a message stating I was interested in ordering a baby redtail boa and have it delivered to my home in Connecticut, but the weather isn't the best at this time of year, also wanted a certain sex. The very next day I received a call from the store and I missed the call. The caller called back 5mins later and I picked up. I can't remember the guys name, I later found outit wastheowner Alex, he spoke to me and ensured me that my purchase would be carefully handled and they take upmost care of selecting healthy pets for shipments and will be available when needed and if anything goes wrong they would do their best to correct it. After speaking to this Alex I knew I would soon place an order with this company. "Please" let me tell you why! the call back, the call back alone said this is a trust worthy business that will stand by their customers with great willingness to do what's right for their customers. I will definitely purchase a reptile from this company for one reason and one reason only, and it is because this owner took time out to contact me twice to help me with my decision to place an online order. That is customer service at it's best.I plan on buying my baby redtail boa this month in November, in New England from this establishment and this establishment only. So to the staff of Imperial Reptiles you guys/girls are the best. I can't wait to get my new pet thanks for being a super business and super professional and super reliable. I can't wait to write about my delivery after I receive my new addition to my reptile room. I just want to add and let Alex know name is "Johnnie" from Connecticut,thanks...
