I bought my wedding dress from Miss Ruby’s boutique. They provided a list of alterations/ seamstresses in the Milwaukee area they work with. After looking into those options, I also asked friends for recommendations. Two of my good friends used Kit for their wedding dresses and highly recommended her. From my first appointment with Kit, I felt at ease and knew she was the perfect person to take a beautiful dress, and make it into MY wedding dress- which is exactly what she did. Kit is so skilled, knowledgeable, and kind. The transformation from the day I picked up my dress at the boutique, to our final appointment/ wedding day is phenomenal. Kit listened to my requests with fit and feel of the dress, the bustle. Even with her busy schedule, she still made it a priority to be quick with email communications. My dress fit like a glove and I felt absolutely gorgeous on my wedding day! The bustle was easy for my matron of honor to tie and it held ALL night with dancing. Kit also made my mom a custom handkerchief from fabric and lace from my mom’s wedding dress that we kept a secret and gifted her. My mom absolutely LOVED it. My experience with her on my mother-of-the-groom dress was nothing short of spectacular. I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted, but I knew how I wanted to feel in my gown. Kit drafted beautiful sketches, and together we discussed what I liked (and didn’t). From there, the design came to life. Each fitting appointment was exciting, and she even made a few creative tweaks along the way.

Where do I even start? First and foremost, Kit is truly talented and passionate about her work. You can trust that she will do everything in her power to make you happy and have you feeling beautiful, whether you're bringing a gown to her for alterations or she is making you one herself. My wedding gown was practically two sizes too big. I was pretty stressed out not remembering why I liked it in the first place and thinking about purchasing a new dress altogether.
