Update: Matt reached out to me, took ownership, and fully rectified the situation regarding the 4 cards that were graded. Thank you Matt for your honesty and helpfulness in getting this resolved. As such, I have changed my review to 5 stars.
Original Review: To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I came across some old sports cards while decluttering and brought them in to 5 Star to see if they would be worth anything. After going through all of the cards there were a handful that were able to be sold and payment was received. There were 4 cards that Matt said would benefit from the grading process. Those cards were sent out and graded in May/June 2025. On 7/8/2025 Matt sent me a Facebook Messenger message with a picture of the graded cards and we exchanged messages surrounding pricing. This was the last communication that I have had with Matt. I sent him a message on 7/29/2025, 8/14/2025, 9/8/2025, and on 9/15/2025 all with no response. Messages sent on 9/8/2025 and 9/15/2025 have been left unread by Matt. In addition to the messages, I have also called 5 Star Cards on 8/6/2025, 9/8/2025, 9/9/2025, 9/12/2025, and 9/15/2025. Each time I call I receive voicemail and leave a message stating my name, reason for calling, and my callback number. Still no response from Matt or his staff regarding my cards.
Long story short, be very wary of taking your collectibles to...

Read moreSent 20+ sports cards to the owner, Matt, for inspection, grading and consignment services. It took me reaching out to him repeatedly for months to finally get updates and my cards back. Sent them to him in December and I still haven’t gotten my last cards back from him and it’s the end of March. He also auctioned off a bunch of my cards without asking for my minimum sell price, so I lost money on all of them without any input or updates. Horrible communication and service from Matt. I wanted to support local business, but I will never be back and will not recommend his...
