Crafty Cow in Oconomowoc is an absolute gem for anyone craving elevated pub food, and it's easily one of my favorite spots in town! If you love a good, messy burger packed with flavor, youāll be in heaven here. Their Oklahoma burger is one of my go-tosāitās juicy, savory, and topped with the perfect mix of ingredients that all come together beautifully. Itās a little messy (in the best way possible), so donāt be afraid to dig in with plenty of napkins close by! Their burger menu is creative and diverse, offering something for everyone, whether you prefer traditional flavors or something with a unique twist.
Crafty Cow also has a fantastic drink selection to match their great food. Their tap list is impressive, with a nice rotation of craft beers that cover a wide range of flavors, from hoppy IPAs to smooth lagers. And if youāre in the mood for a cocktail, theyāve got you covered with delicious in-house tap cocktails that are as refreshing as they are inventive. For bourbon lovers like me, they offer a solid selection of bourbons, so you can enjoy a classic cocktail or a smooth pour on the rocks. Itās a place where you can truly find a drink to suit any preference.
The atmosphere inside is warm and welcoming, making it perfect for groups or casual gatherings. The layout is spacious, yet cozy, with a vibe that balances modern style with that inviting, hometown pub feel. We often bring friends or family visiting from out of town, and Crafty Cow never fails to impress. Itās also a fantastic spot for date nights or just a relaxing evening out.
Service here is consistently fantastic. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, always willing to offer recommendations. The prices are very reasonable, especially given the quality and creativity of the food and drink options. Compared to other places around, Crafty Cow offers a great value without compromising on taste or experience.
If youāre in Oconomowoc and looking for a place with amazing, elevated pub food, great drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere, Crafty Cow should be at the top of your list. Itās our go-to spot whenever weāre craving a hearty, satisfying meal with a little something extra....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was excited to try something new, and I love a good burger.... Unfortunately I was fair from impressed with everything! I wish I would have taken a picture of the basket of fries because they were the nastiest fries I've ever seen and the taste matched what they looked like. Their burger was not cooked to how I can eat meat after I stressed not once not twice but three times and still wasn't cooked to how I ordered it, and I did not get all the extras I ordered but still was charged for the extras. The rest of my party thought their burgers were disgusting and just weirdly flavored. My daughters chicken tenders were over cooked and had for her to eat. No one ate any of the large basket of fries we ordered. For the prices they charge their food is not of the quality or service or atmosphere to charge any where near what they do. All and all even with the offer of a new burger the fact that they couldn't do it the first go round and the fries were aweful and everyone else couldn't even eat their food I found it best to just finish pay the bill and walk out to never return. If you like crappy food for high prices and poor service and dark lighting this is the place for you, but my friends and family and I will never return. I'd rather drive a distance and get good food, service, and atmosphere and pay more money for my food then to ever return! Thank baby Jesus McDonalds is open 24/7 even their food if you can call it that is better then...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCrafty Cow reopened in late summer 2021 after being a Vietnamese restaurant for some time. So they have not even been open one year yet, but we visited today (02.24.22) and got there right as they opened in order to check out the decor. Interesting eclectic style which I really liked, mixing rustic farmhouse elements with mid century modern. I thought the "retro style" living room was very cool. There were whiskey barrels in random spots and a very nice outdoor patio which I look forward to checking out this summer. The waitress/bartender was great - super professional, friendly and really great service! Unfortunately, the food was not great. My mom had the fried chicken, and complained it was all breading and the chicken was very tough. I had the "Veg-It" burger, which I swapped out for a grilled chicken patty, which came with pepperjack cheese, avocado, and a smothering of carmelized pepper/onion that was very greasy. The bun was also greasy and not of great quality. Otherwise I would give the sandwich a C+ overall. There just wasn't any seasoning. I also had a side "house salad" which was very good - generous portion of avocado, but just way too many onions in my opinion. Bottom line is it is all about the food - this restaurant has TONS of potential and I truly want to see it succeed, so an investment in a quality chef should be made and we'll be back! Thank you for the...
