Fowler Lake Park — Attraction in Oconomowoc

Sat in the picnic shelter to finish some paper work. Out of the sun. Breezy. Quiet until a group of teens arrived. I really didn't pay any attention, but a young woman came over to apologize, which I thought was nice.

Earlier, my friend and I started a 2 to 3 mile walk around Fowler Lake through downtown Oconomowoc. Your goal of 2+ miles is set for you!! I should have taken pictures, as it's a beautiful walk.

So, as I have to be careful about being in the sun, the shelter is great. Bring a comfortable lounge chair if you want to relax and watch the lake. There are fire places, but I don't know the rules on using those. But it's good to know, the public...

The Kettle Morraine Ranch is a beautiful place to go see. There is some pretty excellent music to be heard at the festival’s there and the people that run these events are all truly wonderful people! You can camp and go horseback riding because it’s adjacent to the state park and it’s just so beautiful there! You can rent or bring your own horse’s for going horseback riding as well. They have other animal’s other than horses too! So this place is fun for all ages. All the kid’s are always having fun running around this beautiful place! Fowler Lake Park has a nice playground for big kids and a smaller one for the little kids. It has a pier you can walk out onto and go fishing or fish along the shoreline. They have covered area with picnic tables. The park has a large grassy bowl in it that is great for sledding in the winter time, especially for little kids. There is not a ton of parking which when it is busier will make it so you have to park in the neighborhood across the street. Fowler has art festivals, fireworks, and even movies in the park.
