I can only have small amount of gelato per my IBD. Wasnât happy I had to be a child or over 60 to get a mini cone! Either way I chose Cherry Cheesecake. It was smooth, amazing and the best I have ever had. Too bad the employee who assisted me on this visit didnât match the quality of Gelato. Store front and inside is extremely clean and comfortable.
Customer service on my visit was not what I expected. It was just bad. I was looking at the menu and had my card out. The quirky slender female cashier with glasses & curly hair waited on me. After getting my Gelato ready she stood at the cash register and read out my total. I hadnât moved yet from the ordering area. I was still reading over the espresso options as I took out my card. I set my purse, phone and card down as I focused on the menu. This lady reached around her register, grabbed my card and swiped the payment. She then said âthank you, come againâ I was floored that she thought that little of me to not hand her my payment. I looked at her and said âoh you know I was going to order more, hence why I was reading the menuâŠbut never-mindâ I wasnât all that shocked though, she didnât pay attention to me after scooping my order, she wasnât paying attention to customers at all. It was the go to place for my family but year after year the owner has clearly decided that it's quantity over quality both in service and flavor. How is it that year after year you raise your prices and decide that the customer experience doesn't matter. Like tonight I came in saw a flavor I'd never tried before asked for a sample and was denied. Of my kids were not there and looking forward to it I would have taken my money somewhere else. You wage making a profit on the fact that you are greedy. I spent $50 dollars in your establishment tonight on what maybe $10 in product at most. And like I said if my kids weren't w me.you would have lost out on that $50 sale. Not to mention in all.of my years coming to your establishment I've never seen the same employees which tells me that you care very little on how you treat them. For anyone reading this go back and look at the negative reviews that actual got posted the owner is nothing but responsive. First thing that was noticeable was the handwritten sign saying "only one sample per customer." Seriously? 40 unique flavors of Gelato and you don't want me to fall in love with more than one? OK - that is up to the owners. Finally after 3 minutes with no visible employees I found a bell to ring. A toad faced frump walked out of one back room area, glared at me and my wife and walked into another back room without saying a word. She emerged 30 seconds later wearing an apron and droned out the obligatory 'Can I help you?' My instinct was to walk out, but I knew my wife wanted to try the Gelato.
