After an evening visiting and shopping downtown Oconomowoc, we decided to stop into Fiesta Cancun for an evening meal, and we were so glad we did!
The restaurant is very simple, along the lines of a hometown diner, nothing fancy in the least, but comfortable. We were seated immediately, given menus and some wonderful chips and salsa to get started.
The menu is surprisingly large and comprehensive, with a LOT to choose from! I decided to try something a little different, and ordered the crab meat enchiladas, and a peach margarita.
Service was quick, efficient and to the point. It was nearly a full house the night we stopped in, so there was a bustle of activity.
The drinks arrived, and they were HUGE! But very tasty, one of the best margaritas I've had. We had a great time eating the complimentary tortilla chips and salsa, drinking our margaritas, while waiting on our food.
We didn't have to wait all that long, our meals were served promptly, with the typical sides of refried beans and Spanish rice. I had three enchiladas on my plate, and dug in immediately.
While crab meat is a very subtle flavor, the enchiladas still worked wonderfully well, and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite! The beans and rice were likewise excellent. I have nothing but praises for the food and drinks, and everyone in our party was also extremely satisfied.
But the best part was the price! The cost for the four of us to eat and drink to our fill did not even come to $80 (without the tip) which was an incredible value.
I will absolutely come back to Fiesta Cancun, and can't wait to try something else from their HUGE menu! Highly...
Read moreThis restaurant is racist and NOT KIDS FRIENDLY! I would give it —5 stars if I could! There’re 9 of us using two different tables, as soon as we sat down, I told the waitress that we’d like to order food since my 4 year old was starving after a long walk, she went to get us water then left. After a while I told a waiter who was cleaning up the table next to us that we need to order food since my kid was super hungry, he said Ok then left. After another while, another waitress came and started to take order from one of our tables but one of them decided to wait for her husband, so I thought the waitress would have come to our table to take an order from us since I’d told them twice that we’d like to order food now. BUT she just walked away totally ignored us!! With my kid was complaining that he’s hungry nonstop( I believe she heard him), I had to call her back to take an order from us PLEASE. Then after QUITE A WHILE she came to serve different customers and was trying to walk away after that, my husband saw her and tried to ask her about the food we ordered. Then she walked over and told us she didn’t know about our food but we’re being rude and WOULD ASK US TO LEAVE. I’m sure she’d never placed our order. The manager of that restaurant didn’t even care what just happened. It had never happened to me before and was the WORST experience ever. She was the most ridiculous waitress( server) I’ve ever met. And this restaurant is on my black...
Read moreAlways looking to try a new Mexican restaurant wall on the road and this one had the most feedback and ratings as I was driving along I 94. The meal started with the normal chips and salsa but also included a spicy salsa too that had a kick, and the chips were nice and fresh and tasted great. I also ordered their white cheese dip chipotle style (5.25), which gave it an orange tint that you would see in normal queso. It was super thick and by the time my meal was delivered it was already pretty firm, so I had it sent back to the kitchen to be warmed up. For my meal I purchased the quesadilla dinner (9'50), Rajas (onions & pepper) style with steak. All of the quesadilla meals I've had at Mexican restaurants this is the first time I've ever seen them cut it into little tiny wedges, making it easier to eat. The flavor of the grease was a little overwhelming with the seasoning, and the pieces of steak were almost non existent based on the size. I requested a side of salsa Verde in the give it to me in a tiny condiment cup and was charged 1.50 for it (most places would have been free). Service was pretty decent, to go out to get my dip and the waitress was nice but other than that I probably...
