Red Robin is always my family’s favorite option for customizable burgers. Both my son and I do not eat meat, so we love the fact that we can get an Impossible or Veggie burger here in any style of burger they offer.
When we arrived at the restaurant, we were seated right away. The restaurant only had one other family sitting in our area, however, our server seemed flushed and overwhelmed. She took our drink and appetizer order, and came back with our drinks pretty quickly. We were still deciding on our order when she came back. She said she would come right back in a few minutes, but she didn’t come back for about 15-20 minutes to take our order. By this time, the hostess already seated 5-6 tables around us. When our server finally came to take our order, she was rushing as she looked around at the tables that were now seated in her section. I really think they must’ve been understaffed on our visit. I ordered the Veggie burger for myself, and Impossible kids burger for my son. My daughter had the bone-in wings, and my fiancé had the boneless wings.
We ended up waiting ages for our food to come out, and when it finally did, we still hadn’t received our appetizer. My son’s impossible burger looked good, but my daughter’s wings didn’t have any sauce on them, and my fiancé’s wings were not boneless. I took a bite of my veggie burger only to realize, it wasn’t a veggie burger at all, it was a “real meat” burger… I was shocked as I spit the burger out into a napkin. Our server was busy taking orders for the other tables that were seated in her section, so we waited roughly 20 minutes for her to come check up on us. We told her about all the discrepancies with our food, and also asked her to remove the appetizer that we never received from our check. She told my daughter she would bring her some sauce that she could dip her dry wings in, and took up my fiancé’s bone-in wings. Then… the shocking thing is that she took her hand and lifted up the bun of my burger in front of me to verify I actually didn’t receive a veggie burger. Then when she realized I was telling the truth, she took my plate up too. She never once apologized about our order. She blamed it on the kitchen and said they must’ve gotten our whole order wrong. A long wait later, we finally received our revised food. My veggie burger was hot and tasted great. My fiancé’s boneless wings were hot and cooked to perfection, and my daughter received her wing sauce, but by then her wings were cold and she didn’t want to eat them anymore.
We finished our meal and our server never checked up on us or refilled our drinks. She did come by sometime later and drop off our check though. As I reviewed our check, I noticed she charged us for 1 impossible burger, 1 regular burger, the appetizer, and 2 bone-in wings. This made me realize that it was not the kitchen’s fault at all… it was actually her fault for putting in the complete wrong order. When she came back to grab the check, I told her it needed our check to be corrected. Again, she didn’t apologize, she took the check and walked away. She dropped the check back off at our table and thanked us for coming in and walked away. The manager, never stopped by our table to apologize for our order being wrong, the wasted time we spent at the restaurant, and especially not for me biting into a burger with meat when I ordered a veggie burger.
We were very disappointed because we ended up spending over 3 hours in this Red Robin. We had a couple of other things we wanted to see on our trip to OKC before we headed home. But by the time we left this Red Robin, it was almost dark. So, we decided to just drive back home to Dallas instead. I don’t know if our visit was due to them being understaff, or if this was business as usual at this location. For us, it was a complete waste of...
Read moremy husband and I were in on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. as we were paying our tab on the kiosk located our table, the server had came up and asked if we would like any to go boxes and I guess she had seen that I was not going to leave a tip on my gift card that I was using to pay for our meal. I was planning on leaving cash on the table for her tip. The gift card was only for $50 and total was around $48 so there was no point in leaving a tip on the gift card. little did she know I was planning on leaving a $20 cash tip due to a conversation I had heard her having earlier in the evening. she had stated that due to this restaurant being slow, she was going to leave after she was done serving our table and more than likely use Uber eats to supplement her income.due to this conversation I wanted to make sure that we were going to leave her a nicer tip than what we normally would which was Going to be around $20 in cash. After the server walked away from our table as I was finishing up paying, I overheard her make a comment to another one of her colleagues that said that table over there, pointing to my table isn’t going to tip, she scrolled the tip bar down to zero. I heard the server make this comment and I confronted her about it and opted not to leave a cash tip due to her rudeness. If she just would’ve waited until we left the restaurant, she would’ve known that there would’ve been $20 on the table for her. not everyone ops to tip on a debit or credit card or a gift card. And I know I don’t look like I have much money so you should really learn not to judge people based on their appearance. a lot of people with money choose to dress a little bit poorly so we blend in better. Business is low, so you would think that your servers would want to be a little bit more kind and not jump to conclusions prior to their customers leaving. I did immediately call their corporate office and they are currently working on investigating this situation. It’s safe to say that I will not be returning to this red...
Read more3rd edit... This was the last straw... this time never coming back. How is this place still in business? You can clearly tell the manager/managers? do not care if a customer is taken care of or happy. After so many years of eating here, the terrible experiences have finally outweighed the good. I can't being myself to come here after trying to have a nice dinner out with my family. Once arriving we were told they were "putting together a table" for us... There is maybe 4 other table with people and staff standing around. This leaves us awkwardly standing at the host station and then when we are seated the table is dirty, no silverware, no napkins, no waiter to be seen... Waiting some more and no one ever stops by. We see completely ignored as we get up and leave the restaurant. Save yourself the frustration and choose somewhere else.
2nd Edit, will not be back. As we were leaving there were people moving tables because there were bugs all over the wall they wete next to. Also my husband said the bathroom was so dirty and filled with trash that it was trailing out the door. People come in and spend their hard earned money and shouldn't have to deal with these things in a walk in/sit down table service restaurant. This place is so hit or miss. Don't come at busy times because they never seem to have enough people. Or something is just off in the kitchen because service takes forever and you always have to ask for silver wear, napkins, plates, condiments, etc. Was super disappointed tonight. Wish I had taken pics. Posting to...
