Redefined Day Spa — Local services in Olive Branch

I was very excited to support this business. I was initially happy with my lashes and the service that I received.

The next day I called and emailed to let them know that I was experiencing discomfort and my eyes were swollen. I hoped that I would be able to return to have them removed but after not hearing back from anyone I ripped them from my eyes along with my own lashes. Admittedly this was not an issue that they caused but it would have been nice to have received a response to my calls and emails. I had an allergic reaction to the lashes or the glue or who knows what and had to go to the emergency room for help and to be administered a shot to bring down the reaction.

As I was leaving the hospital, I received a call from one of the employees of this business, 3 days after my initial call to inquire about my issue. Later that day I received a call from the owner, Aleesia. She was less than compassionate about the ordeal and offered to reapply the lashes to which I declined. I was not going to put myself through that pain and suffering again. I then asked if I could receive another service since I did spend $115 for lashes that I wore for 1 day. She agreed to provide another service and I requested a facial. She then suggested that I pay half the price of the facial. I then asked could she comp the facial since again I did just spend $115 for lashes and also wound up in the emergency room. She agreed.

Well, the day of the facial appointment I arrived a few minutes early so that she would not have to wait on me. She was working on another client and said she would be with me in a moment. I assumed she meant a few minutes at most and that she was wrapping it up with the other client since again I arrived about 5 minutes early. I sat in that waiting room for 40 minutes, clearly she was not wrapping up that other client. I left as now my time was being wasted.

Aleesia called as I was driving down the street to ask why I left. Ma'am seriously I waited for 40 minutes!!! She then stated that she was behind and all of her clients have had to wait at least 40 minutes. I told her it would have been nice to know this when I arrived and I would have been able to decide if I wanted to sit there for nothing. She was so dry and again uncompassionate about this. She asked did I want to reschedule the appointment. I declined because again she gave off the impression that she didn't want to do the facial anyway and I refuse to waste another moment of my time with this woman and this place.

I was so excited that I had found a lovely black, female owned business to support but I will never waste another dollar or minute with this place. Good luck if you go there, I hope your experience is better than mine was.

I’ve been coming to this spa for 8 years and each experience has been absolutely amazing! They are very consistent! The staff and the owner offer exceptional service, each time I come I receive eye lash extensions, chemical peel, and a Brazilian wax. (Monthly) My skin was in really bad condition when I started going to RedefinedDay spa and my Esthetician “Alicia” suggested that I did routine facials and use their skin care line which is “Image” (the Ormedic line) and when I tell you I have seen great results in my skin. I can almost cry, do to the fact I was down to my last option with finding a result for my skin, I even visited a serval dermatologist that couldn’t get my skin cleared. Black Owned with excellent service 🖤 My first time experience with them was superb! The inside of the building was very clean with a nice ambiance. Everyone I encountered was friendly and the process to check in and check out to pay was easy. I had the pleasure of having a full body wax by Ms. Tykia, and she did amazing. I enjoyed her conversation and down to earth energy which made me forget I was even getting a wax. Lol Tykia made the waxing process less painful because her touch was so light and gentle. She managed to get every unwanted hair removed! I give this fine establishment an A+!
