We arrived at 5:40 for the “Early Bird Special “ & was seated at the Hibachi table by a young waitress. A Mexican man (LOL) must have been a chef since he tried to light it with no success & he left. He comes back with a lighter in his hand to light the table. We wait some more then an older waitress comes to us to tell us another party had made a reservation 2 wks ago for 6:00 pm & did we mind waiting for them to arrive? We said “No” & was seated in another room at a table with the promise of getting the “Early Bird Special “ . We waited awhile to have our order taken. Meanwhile 2 other couples had been seated after us & had already received their drink order. We hadn’t even been asked for our order yet. So we flagged down the older waitress who seated us in this area to inform her 2 other couples had been seated after us but received their drinks before us. She apologized for the young waitress (said she was new) & instead of taking our order she sends over the young waitress who takes our order but seemed to be confused! A few minutes later our drinks were served. A few more minutes later our food was served. We both ordered Chicken & Steak hibachi dinner w/ vegetables & fried rice w/ extra garlic butter & asked for our steak to be cooked medium well. When we were served both the steak & chicken were dried out. The rice w/extra garlic butter ( the rice tasted bland!) Our salad was all white with only the ridges of the lettuce cut in chunks served with their ginger dressing. There was no green lettuce in it at all! The only thing that tasted good from the whole meal was the “Dressing”! Their service was horrible from the time we walked in the door until we walked out! Their food was the worst I have ever tasted & over priced! We were charged $67.50 for the entire “Early Bird Special “ & not including the tip! After explaining what our experience was like we thought we would be compensated some on the meal, but no we were not! So, I did not Leave a tip & wrote on the receipt why! For 2 adults who don’t eat out much, we were so disappointed with this experience! I think this restaurant must be under new management because when we first started going there it was so much better! We will never go back & this is the reason for their low rating! Someone else mentioned they have a high turnover in staff! Has to be...
Read moreFirst ,I want to say I absolutely love Osaka food.I have never had any issuss with popular or Germantown locations.I eat Osaka about every other day. I visit all locations but mostly Osaka hacks cross location, at least 2 times a week because this is a few mins from my house. My order is always 2 large shrimp dinners with broccoli only for veggies.when I visit the hacks cross location the portion of broccoli is always very small ,maybe a cup size but if I go to the popular or the Germantown location it’s always a very large portion .I said something to the manger one time before at hacks cross location and she stated that since I only get broccoli the portion should be large and she made sure it was a large portion that day ,weeks ago. So,Today I went into hacks cross location, got my food, looked and it was a very small portion of broccoli.I requested a manger, and the same lady from weeks ago came out. These were her exact words in front of 2 of her employees,if you don’t like the portion size,we don’t appreciate you coming here,go to the other locations.I was truly offended and my feelings was very hurt seeing how I spend so much money in there and she knows my face from coming in there every single week. than she repeated we don’t appreciate your business go to the other locations. One of her employees jaw dropped completely open in disbelief that she said that to me.So,I nicely, explained to her that she knows I come in there at least 2 times a week and I’m spending at least $100 at her location every week ,so than she says she will only this one time give me more broccoli. She brings me out a small to go box full of broccoli which was cool,I was happy and than as she gives me the box, she says to me again,if I am going to complain do not come to her location anymore,I say ok and thank you. So,I get home to eat my food , tell me why the small thing of broccoli she gave me is loaded with pepper!!! So much pepper is feels like my mouth on fire...Wow!! Low Dow and unappreciative. The manger of that location got her wish,I will no longer visit that...
Read moreI went in on Wednesday at 5 p.m. I ordered a Philly roll, which came out quickly and tasted fine. As I was waiting on my Philly roll I meandered through the menu to see what else I wanted to eat. Once I saw that the Philly roll was good I asked for an Alaskan roll. I noticed on a secondary menu they gave me when you order multiple rolls you get a discounted price. (Like a combo) When I asked for the Alaskan roll, the waitress asked me if I wanted to get a second roll to get the combination special... I told her that I thought I had ordered a second Roll by having the Philly roll..... She was rude and upset that I hadn't ordered all of my rolls at once. I tried to explain to her that I didn't know that I had to order everything at one time and she was actually very rude.
I finally said that I'll just go next door and have some Mexican food. When I asked if I could speak to a manager she said there wasn't any manager... , Which I confirmed with some other employees. It Didn't make any sense to me that there wouldn't be a manager on duty at all times... Seems like a bad business practice.
I don't want to go into a sushi place that I've never been before and order multiple rolls before I can establish how good the place is.
The food that I did eat was acceptable. I would have gladly stayed and eaten more food except after the waitress got sideways with me I didn't want to roll the dice at her boyfriend being the sushi chef...
All the other employees were very nice. Even a couple of the patrons, who seemed confused as to why the waitress was being so rude, were very nice as well.
Hopefully the next time I stop by a manager will be available during normal...
