I recently had a disappointing experience at the Waffle House on Hackcross Road in Olive Branch. On Friday night, I came in to pick up an online order and was met with an astonishing lack of service.

When I arrived, I stood in front of the cash register for a full 16 minutes, completely ignored by the staff. Despite being in clear view, not one employee or waitress acknowledged me. At one point, a female waitress glanced my way while handling something at the register, but then turned her back to continue chatting with the cooks. This wasn’t a case of a busy restaurant; it was quite the opposite.

Feeling frustrated and thinking I might be at the wrong spot, I moved to the other end of the counter. Still, no one paid attention. Defeated, I returned to my original position. Finally, a white gentleman asked if my order was a call-in and then assembled my meal.

Beyond the disorganized service, the restaurant’s condition was off-putting. There was vomit by the entrance, a sight that should have been cleaned up immediately. The welcoming atmosphere I usually expect from Waffle House was entirely missing.

Once home, the food was another letdown. The steak was dry and rubbery, like chewing on plastic. The hash browns were burnt, and the grape jelly tasted stale as if it had been sitting around for years. I’ve heard rumors that Waffle House recycles leftover condiments indefinitely, and this experience certainly made it seem true.

My wife and I have had good meals at this location before, but this visit was a stark contrast. The service was chaotic and inattentive, and the food quality was abysmal. We won’t be returning to the Hackcross Waffle House. I hope management addresses these issues soon.

We dined inside of Waffle House on Hacks Cross in Olive Branch last night 4/15/23 The manager, The guy with the green color in his hair, The young lady with red color on her dreadlocks, and the server, with the teardrop, tatoo under his eye were VERY RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL, They let us sit for about 15 minutes before I had to say something to the manager/server about not being helped yet, and the manager/server with the green hair color immediately cut me off and said I'm just taking to go orders, which was only 1 person that had a to-go, when he got done, he never assisted us, the server with tatoo under his eye was helping others, but rudely came to the table, never gave his name or greeted us in the proper manner, we asked for plastic ware, he rudely quickly answered we don't have any, so we asked for hot water to sit our silver ware in, he quickly rudely answered I can't give you that you may burn yourselves, he stated!!!!! So I went to my car to get plastic ware out of my glove compartment, and brought it bck in...Our food was cooked and then CORRECTED BY KENNETH...A VERY RESPECTFUL AND KIND PERSON, He corrected one of the meals and assisted us the rest of the night, We also let the staff know that their customer service as a team was horrible, KENNETH GETS 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 FROM US...

I used to come in every Friday evening around 1130 to 1230 for my break. Never to busy, which is great. I drive a day cab and move empty trailers all night and when I come in I always park at the very back, because I don't want to be in the way. I had been doing this for weeks and no problems. One night I rolled in and went to park, after I got out my truck to go inside, 3 workers piled out of this beat up car doing whatever. 1 of the guys said that I couldn't park there. I was like excuse me. And dude said again that I couldn't park there. There was only 1 customer vehicle in the whole lot and they were sitting in a booth all by themselves and not one worker inside with them. They were left inside all alone. I could understand me moving if the parking lot was overflowing but it was only me and 1 other vehicle. Dudes attitude and the way he approached me was all wrong. So I got in my truck and just left.
